Role Purpose

The Senior Manager - Systems Integrations will lead the design, development, implementation, and evolution of Enterprise Integration Solutions that connect business systems. This role is responsible for building scalable, secure, and resilient integration architectures leveraging modern cloud-native technologies, containerization, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in system integrations while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security across the integration landscape.

Main Responsibilities
Strategic

• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop technology strategies aligned with the company's long-term vision.
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies such as cloud-native services, containerization platforms, and integration tools to enhance competitiveness and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and execution of IT roadmaps and integration strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Provide insights and recommendations on technology investments to support business growth and digital transformation initiatives.
• Lead development, implementation and maintenance of ESB.

Operational

Integration Architecture & Design

• Design and architect scalable, cloud-native integration solutions using modern integration platforms and frameworks.
• Establish integration patterns, standards, and best practices for the organization.
• Design event-driven architectures and APIs that enable seamless system interoperability.
• Collaborate with solution architects to design integration solutions that balance functionality, performance, scalability, and security.

Development & Implementation

• Develop integration solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and modern integration frameworks.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of integration components.
• Develop RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, and microservices-based solutions.
• Create reusable integration components and connectors to accelerate development and ensure consistency.
• Perform regular code reviews to ensure conformance to standards and best practice

Development & Implementation

• Develop integration solutions using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and modern integration frameworks.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of integration components.
• Develop RESTful APIs, event-driven integrations, and microservices-based solutions.
• Create reusable integration components and connectors to accelerate development and ensure consistency.

DevSecOps & Security

• Implement DevSecOps practices to ensure security is integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
• Design and implement secure integration patterns that protect sensitive data and ensure compliance.
• Configure authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms for integration endpoints.
• Conduct security reviews and vulnerability assessments of integration solutions.

Cloud & Containerization

• Design and implement container-based deployment strategies using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and implement cost-effective solutions.

Monitoring & Operations

• Design and implement comprehensive monitoring solutions for integration platforms
• Create dashboards and alerting systems to proactively identify and address integration issues
• Implement observability practices including distributed tracing, logging, and metrics collection
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational activities.

Knowledge Sharing & Mentorship

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to the integration team.
• Conduct knowledge sharing sessions on integration technologies and best practices
• Document integration patterns, architecture, and lessons learned
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the integration team

Corporate Governance

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards related to system integrations.
• Collaborate with risk management teams to identify and mitigate technology-related risks.
• Provide leadership within the integration department.

Academic Qualifications

• BSc. Computer Science/Software Engineering/IT. A master's degree in technology or Business-related courses is an added advantage.
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, or CKS).
• Relevant integration platform certifications.

Relevant Experience

• 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing mission-critical integration systems in a highly digitized environment, with at least 3 years focusing on cloud-native integrations.
• Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• Proven experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for integration components.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration services.
• Track record of implementing DevSecOps practices in integration projects.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior developers and share knowledge effectively.
• Experience leading complex integration projects from conception to delivery.
