Report To Manager, Placement and career services

Job Purpose

The job holder is responsible for supporting the Placement Coordination activities.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyzing and compiling data from stakeholders for criteria development;
• Providing the updated criteria for placement of government-sponsored students to universities and colleges; (iii) Validating students’ data from KNEC;
• Validating data of registered eligible institutions and their programmes for placement;
• Validating the data base with the declared capacities for universities and colleges programmes;
• Guiding of students on the application processes;
• Processing of Placement of students to Universities and Colleges;
• Validating the Placement of students to Universities and Colleges;
• Verifying the Inter Institution Transfers applications;
• Reconciling placement returns from Universities and Colleges; and
• Identifying stakeholders and compiling the content for engagement.

Minimum Job Qualification

1. Have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in relevant work in the Public Service or in the Private Sector;
2. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:- Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Studies or Development Studies or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
3. Have professional qualification and membership to a relevant professional body.
4. Be proficient in computer applications;
5. Supervisory Course lasting not less than 4 weeks; and
6. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
