Senior Product Manager at Reeds Africa Consult

Our client dealing with Agriculture equipment financing is looking to hire a senior product manager

JOB PURPOSE:

The ideal candidate should have experience in the B2B SME fintech space. The role will initially consist of the detailed development and specification of business requirements for the leasing platform across East Africa.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Uncover and understand product and client needs, translate and document them into product requirements, taking into account local variations and the requirements.
2. Map and document business processes including interfaces with third party data and intelligence providers such as credit data providers, payment platforms and vehicle tracking monitoring systems.
3. Map and document current business processes and systems  in order to document the change to the company

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS;

• At least 4+ year’s product experience, in a fintech product management/ownership role.
• Proven leadership and motivational skills
• Willing to travel outside the country
• Ability to translate business requirements into a functional design
• Strong written and oral communication skills a must; can present formally or informally
• Previously worked alongside senior stakeholders, helping to achieve company/product vision
• Previous experience in a product role within an early stage business preferred
• An understanding of financial services and other regulations affecting fintech in East Africa
• Experience of UI & UX design principles (desirable, but not essential
