Site Supervisor at Pipe Masters and Plastics Limited

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee construction sites and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing on-site operations, coordinating with various teams, and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting  the Project Manager in planning and  creating schedules for the construction  project
• Supporting the Project Manager in hiring Sub-contractors and choosing suppliers for the project
• Supervising  Construction Projects to make sure they meet technical required  specifications
• Recommending changes to construction operations or procedures to increase efficiency.
• Analyzing blueprints to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
• Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed.
• Coordinating work activities with other construction teams such as architects, engineers, and project managers
• Ensuring that construction projects are completed within planned cost and time
• Keeping accurate records of material and labor costs incurred in the construction process
• Monitoring the progress of the construction work and performance of subcontractors at the site
• Assisting the Project Manager in preparing reports to be submitted to stakeholders by providing necessary information on the progress of the business
• Assisting  the Project Manager in the procurement of required  materials
• Assisting  the Project Manager in hiring and assigning tasks to laborers
• Assisting  contractors and Engineers in interpreting technical designs
• Educating site workers on safety procedures to be adopted at the site and make sure that they adhere strictly to safety standards
• Reporting  accidents that occur at the construction site to the project manager
• Maintaining  good relationship with site workers, contractors, and suppliers
• Ensuring that projects are executed in compliance with local or state regulations

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, civil engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Above 3 years’ experience in the construction industry required.
• Proven experience working as a site supervisor.
• Sound knowledge of building codes and construction safety regulations.
• Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
• The ability to interpret blueprints.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in Swahili and English.
