    Sonographer

    Purpose: SOS Medical Centre seeks to engage a suitable competent Sonographer. The person will be responsible for providing efficient, safe, quality diagnostic sonography services to clients as SOS Medical Centre on basis of Memorandum of Understanding. The Medical Centre will accord him/her space for the provision of ultrasound services. He will also abide by MC Service Charter and Organizational Core Values and policies.

    Scope and Specific Tasks:

    • Perform a range of ultrasound examinations on patients for quality diagnostic results.
    • Explain procedures prescribed to the clients/patients.
    • Write test results’ report and refer patients back to the clinical team for discussion of test results and treatment.
    • Ensure optimum functionality of ultrasound equipment.
    • Closely work with clinicians for optimum care of patients.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements applicable.

    Deliverables:

    • To provide a range of ultrasound examinations on patients for quality diagnostic results.
    • Liaise with the MC clinical team including the consultant gynecologist for optimum care of clients.
    • Presentation of financial report to SOS CV KE Management.

    Duration:

    • The consultant is expected to propose a workable period.
    • The contractual period is 3 years.

    Budget:

    The budget will be dependent on the proposed fee of the consultant who will be selected based on a competitive bidding process.

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Diploma or higher Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences from a Recognized Institution.
    • Registered and with a valid current practicing license by the regulatory body.
    • Minimum two years’ experience in Sonography

    Competencies:

    • Professionalism, good communication skills, respond promptly to customer needs, seek current knowledge and practices, team player.

    In addition to satisfying the requirements indicated under qualifications and experience above, interested individuals should submit a proposal based on the terms of reference outlined above complete with:

    • The methodology: this should describe your detailed understanding and objective of the partnership.
    • Proposed approach towards achieving the proposed deliverables.
    • Indicate the equipment you shall provide during the partnership
    • Relevant Certification docs: at least the Academic Certificates, tax compliance certificate, Indemnity cover and relevant professional certification.
