Stock Controller at Nexus Staffing Solutions

Our client, a reputable player in the restaurant industry, is seeking to hire a Stock Controller to join their team in Nairobi. The role holder will be responsible for overseeing inventory management, ensuring accurate stock records, and supporting smooth operations by maintaining the right stock levels.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of food, beverages, and other restaurant supplies.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and update inventory systems regularly.
• Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor stock usage to prevent shortages, wastage, and pilferage.
• Work closely with the kitchen and service teams to forecast stock requirements.
• Ensure all storage areas are clean, well-organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Prepare and share regular inventory reports with management.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years’ experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related role (hospitality industry experience is an added advantage).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory management systems.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle pressure in a busy restaurant environment.
