Strategic Analytics Lead at Apollo Agriculture

About the Role

Apollo Agriculture is looking for a strategic and analytical thinker who can drive growth of the business by identifying key blockers to rapid growth and solving them. You will closely partner with leaders across the business (e.g., marketing, sales, operations, IT, procurement, etc.) to understand the performance and scalability of their functions using data and observation, identify challenges and opportunities, and design and implement solutions that rapidly take advantage of these insights. You will help us turn functional operating models into systematic and scalable processes. As the Strategic Analytics Lead, you will have a key role in shaping the company’s future and you will work on solving some of our most pressing and interesting challenges. You will report to Apollo’s Chief Strategy Officer and work closely across Apollo’s leadership team. 

Success in this role will require a deep curiosity about data and the people that drive the data (team and customers), strong problem solving and quantitative analysis skills, good business judgment and comfort with uncertainty/ambiguity, and excellent relationship building and communication.

You:

• Have experience in management consulting or similar (e.g., background in Business Operations, Strategy, etc.)
• Love solving complex problems with elegant, scalable solutions and obsessively use data to evaluate your opinions and prove yourself wrong. Thinking in systems comes naturally.
• Are comfortable turning ideas and assumptions into testable hypotheses through statistically robust experiments and are able to read data and provide actionable insights to the business.
• Are a deeply curious person, who is excited to understand Apollo from the ground up.
• Are a considerate listener and team player, who takes the time to deeply understand customers, business partners and team members.
• Are Excellent communicator, capable of influencing outcomes without directly owning them
• Are extremely comfortable in Excel and either know or would be excited to quickly learn SQL.
• Bonus: Have experience working in emerging markets and/or startups.
