    Video Editing & Content Manager Intern

    The Role

    • As a Video Editing & Content Manager Intern at Eword Publishers, you will be responsible for producing and managing the video and digital content that represents the company's brand across online platforms. Your work will include recording, creating and editing general use and promotional social media videos & content. This may include long form and short-form content for social media, thus helping the content build its online presence. This is a role that sits at the intersection of creativity and strategy with critical consideration of how, when, and where it is published to achieve the best results.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Video Editing: Edit raw video footage into polished, professional short-form and long-form videos for use on our social media platforms and internal use.
    • Social Media Content Creation: Plan, produce, and schedule engaging content across Eword's social media platforms, in line with the company's brand voice and content strategy.
    • Content Calendar Management: Develop and maintain a structured content calendar, ensuring a consistent and timely flow of posts, videos, and announcements across all platforms.
    • Brand Consistency: Ensure all video and digital content adheres to Eword's visual identity and brand voice, maintaining a consistent and professional presence across all platforms.

    Who We Are Looking For

    • A creative and digitally fluent individual with strong video editing skills who can take raw footage and turn it into compelling, well-paced content that holds an audience's attention.
    • A person with capacity to think strategically about content - not just what looks good, but what serves a purpose, reaches the right audience, and supports the company's goals.
    • Someone who is organized and proactive, capable of managing a content calendar independently and attend to feedback without needing to be reminded of deadlines or upcoming posts.
    • An individual with a good command of written English, able to write captions and post copy that are clear, engaging, and free of errors.
    • A proactive learner who is eager to grow within a publishing environment and take on increasing responsibility in shaping Eword's digital presence over time.

    Academic Qualification

    • A Diploma, Higher Diploma or Bachelor's degree from a reputable Kenyan institution of higher learning.
    • Film & Video Production.
    • Digital Media Production. , Mass Communication, Multimedia Arts.
    • Marketing, Public Relations, Information Technology (Multimedia track).
