Website Developer – Website and Membership Platform at Africa Health Business Ltd

• ADHN is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Web Developer (or team) to build a secure, userfriendly, and mobile-responsive membership platform. The platform will serve as the digital hub for our network, enabling member registration, payment processing, access to exclusive content, and community engagement tools.

Scope of Work

• The developer will be responsible for:
• Designing and developing the ADHN membership platform (backend and frontend)
• Build a modern, responsive, and secure main website (public-facing)
• Implement user authentication, member profiles, gated content, and email notifications
• Integrate African-friendly payment gateways (e.g. Flutterwave, Stripe, PayPal, etc.)
• Creating a member-only dashboard with downloadable resources, event calendars, and community features
• Building an admin interface for managing members, content, and renewals
• Ensure full performance optimization and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines basic accessibility compliance
• Ensuring web security, responsiveness across devices, and General Data Protection
• Regulations/Data Privacy Compliance
• Configure hosting, SSL, and deployment to production
• Deploying the platform and conducting admin training & documentation handover

Developer Profile and Expectations

• We are looking for a results-driven developer (or agency) with a solid portfolio and great communication skills. You should be excited to work with a mission-driven organization and deliver a product that is robust, scalable, and easy to maintain.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience developing membership or subscription-based websites
• Proficiency in WordPress/Drupal (with plugins/custom dev) or frameworks like Laravel/Vue.js
• Strong understanding of web security, performance optimization, data privacy, accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Experience with payment API integrations, especially in the African context
• Strong grasp of web security and ability to create clean, well-documented codes
• Excellent time management and communication

Bonus:

• Experience working with NGOs or in health-tech
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 and accessibility tools – including multilingual functionality
• Interest in or understanding of digital health/health tech space
