Weights and Measures Officers (3 posts)-Internship
Testing and stamping mechanical and electronic weighing and measuring equipment;
Collecting data on verified equipment at traders premises, stamping stations and verification office;
Sampling pre-packaged goods for qualitative analysis
Preparing testing equipment for inspection and investigation purposes;
Preparing weighing and measuring equipment during trade fairs and exhibitions;
Giving evidence in court on cases arising from infringement of the weights and measures Act (Cap 513) and trade descriptions Act (Cap 505).
Requirements for internship
Be unemployed graduate from a recognized institution having graduated within the last three (3) years (2020,2021,2022);
Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: -Physics, Mathematics, Legal Metrology, Information Communication ICT, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Certificate in Computer application from a recognized institution;
Have no previous work experience related to the area of study;
