    • Coordinating the formulation of disaster management policies, strategies, guidelines standards, statutes and institutional framework;
    • Initiating and coordinating research in disaster management and dissemination of findings to the stakeholders in the county;

    Assistant Agriculture Officer III

    Requirement for appointment 
    This will be the entry and training grade for Assistant Agricultural Officers’  cadre. An officer at this level will be deployed in a Division or in an Agricultural Training Centre.

    Director Veterinary Service

    Duties and responsibilities 

    • Supervise animal health programs and veterinary public health activities within the county;
    • Coordinate implementation of animal disease control activities such as surveillance, treatment and vaccination;
    • Participate in developing disease control strategies that ensure reduced incidences of disease outbreaks and eventually maintain the disease-free status of the County;
    • Management of information systems for the animal health sector in the county;

    • Supervise revenue collection from meat inspection, vaccinations, licensing, livestock, movement permits and breeding services;
    • Custodian of all physical assets under Veterinary Section;
    • Implementing Veterinary Services Programmes in the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP); and,

    Requirements for Appointment 
    Be a Kenyan Citizen; 

    • Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Science or its equivalent from a recognized academic institution;
    • Seven (7) years' experience, three (3) years of which must have been in a senior management level in an institution either in public or private sector;

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (KCSE)mean grade C+ or its recognized equivalent qualification; and, 
    • Bachelor Degree in any of the following disciplines: Social Work, Community Development, Social Development, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Counseling or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

    Youth Officer II

    Duties and responsibilities 

    • Develop an evaluation strategy for the implementation of youth development programs in the county.
    • Liaise with relevant stakeholders and youths in implementation of youth development programs to identify the needs of youths. 
    • Coordinate with youth to develop a communication strategy to improve effective promotion of youth development programs.
    • Plan and facilitate group programs, projects and youth events in the county to enhance youth development.
    • Develop work plans on youth development programs and submit timesheets that comply with administrative responsibilities.
    • Support local outreach programs, capacity building and education projects in mainstream youth set up.
    • Record and evaluate youth development projects using the appropriate methods and contribute to funding applications and reports

    Requirements for Appointment

    • Bachelor Degree in any social science or other related field from a recognized institution.
