Duties and Responsibilities

1. Preparation of cost estimates;
2. Preparation bill of quantities;
3. Preparation of monthly valuations on site;
4. Site re–measurements;
5. Preparation of variation orders.

Minimum Requirements and Competencies

1. For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Building Economics/ Quantity Surveying or the equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognised institution;
3. Be registered as a graduate member of either the Architectural Association of Kenya or the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Kenya.
