    County Attorney

    Job Requirements

    • Have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized University;
    • Have a Post-graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law;
    • Be a member of the Law Society of Kenya and in good standing;
    • Have a valid practicing license;
    • Have knowledge and work experience of not less than ten (10) years; 
    • Have at least five (5) years’ experience as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
    • Be knowledgeable in records of relevant laws and professional standards; and
    • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya. 

    Job Description

    • Principal legal adviser in the County Government;
    • Attend the meetings of the County Executive Committee as an ex-officio member of the executive committee;
    • On instruction of the County Government, represent the County Executive in court or any legal proceeding to which the County Executive is a party other than criminal proceedings;
    • Advise departments in the County Executive on legislative and other legal matters;
