    Truck & Trailer Mechanic

    We are looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, service, and repair articulated trucks and trailers. The role involves maintaining vehicles in good working condition to ensure safety, reliability, and minimal downtime.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on trucks and trailers
    • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and inspections
    • Repair engines, gearboxes, brakes, suspension, axles, and air systems
    • Inspect trailers, coupling systems, and chassis for faults or wear
    • Identify faults using diagnostic tools and manual checks
    • Replace or repair worn and damaged parts
    • Ensure all repairs meet safety and road worthiness standards
    • Keep basic maintenance and repair records
    • Respond to breakdowns when required
    • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop

    Requirements

    Requirements / Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a Truck Mechanic / Heavy Duty Mechanic
    • Experience working on articulated trucks and trailers
    • Good knowledge of diesel engines and air brake systems
    • Ability to diagnose faults accurately and work with minimal supervision
    • Mechanical training, trade test, or technical certification is an added advantage
    • Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment

    Depot Manager

    The Depot Manager is responsible for the overall management of depot operations, ensuring efficient warehousing, transport, dispatch, inventory control, and staff supervision. The role ensures daily reconciliation of stock and sales, compliance with company policies and statutory regulations, cost control, and high service levels across the depot while supporting business growth objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Depot Operations Management

    • Oversee end-to-end depot operations including receiving, storage, dispatch, and transport coordination.
    • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations aligned with service level agreements and business targets.
    • Coordinate with sales, logistics, finance, and customer service teams to support order fulfillment.

    Inventory Control & Daily Reconciliation

    • Ensure accurate daily stock reconciliations, including physical stock vs system balances.
    • Monitor stock movements, losses, damages, and variances, and implement corrective actions.
    • Oversee inventory valuation, aging analysis, and stock optimization at the depot.

    Transport & Fleet Oversight

    • Supervise transport and fleet operations, including route planning, vehicle utilization,and dispatch efficiency.
    • Monitor fuel utilization, transport costs, and fleet performance, ensuring cost optimization.
    •  Manage third-party transporters and enforce contract compliance and service standards.

    Systems & Reporting (SAP / ERP)

    • Ensure effective use of SAP/ERP systems for inventory, dispatch, sales, and transport transactions.
    • Review daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports.
    • Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting for management decision-making.

    Depot Staff Management

    • Lead, supervise, and motivate depot staff, including warehouse teams, drivers, dispatch clerks, and supervisors.
    • Manage staff performance, attendance, training, discipline, and development.
    • Enforce workplace safety, productivity standards, and company policies.

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and company policies.
    • Enforce statutory compliance related to transport, health & safety, labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
      Cost Control & Performance Management
    • Monitor depot operating costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
    • Track KPIs such as OTIF delivery, stock accuracy, fleet utilization, and depot efficiency.
    • Prepare and manage depot budgets and operational forecasts where applicable.

    Requirements

    •  Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, BusinessManagement, or related field.
    • Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in depot operations, logistics, or supply chain roles within FMCG.
    • Proven experience managing teams and depot-level operations.
    • Strong working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.

    Legal Counsel

    We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel to Review, draft pleadings, representing the Company in Small Claims matters, and watching brief in non- complex litigation. The role also involves managing dispute-related documentation and coordinating the provision of such documentation to external counsel in collaboration with the Senior Legal Counsel – Dispute Resolution.

    Duties and responsibilities

    •  Assist in the negotiation, drafting, and review of non-complex commercial agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
    • Conduct legal research on applicable statutes, regulations, and legal issues relevant to the Company’s operations.
    • Analyze legal documents and prepare summaries, opinions, and reports for management and relevant departments.
    • Prepare legal correspondence, memoranda, and other written materials as required.
    • Review draft pleadings and promptly attend to legal correspondence, pleadings, and court orders.
    • Represent the company in Small Claims matters and watch brief in ongoing criminal and non-complex civil litigation
    • Collaborate with internal departments to gather information and documentation required for dispute resolution.
    • Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders involved in disputes and manage administrative aspects of dispute handling.
    • Maintain and manage proper storage of all legal and dispute-related documentation, including contracts, leases, agreements, and litigation files.
    • Ensure all legal documents are accurate, complete, properly maintained, and filed in accordance with Company policies.
    • Coordinate the provision of documentation to external counsel and manage settlement of their invoices as guided by the General Counsel.
    • Undertake any other responsibilities directly related to the delivery of expected outputs and results from a Legal Counsel.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in law from a recognized university.
    • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and Commissioner for Oaths.
    • Minimum of six (6) years’ legal experience, with at least three (3) years’ post-qualification experience in an in-house legal role or a reputable large law firm.

    Competency

    • Excellent legal drafting, analytical, litigation, and negotiation skills, with a strong working knowledge of applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with sound judgment, integrity, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
    • Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
