    Head of Operations

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • As the Head of Operations, you will play a critical role in guiding the organisation towards success. Your responsibilities and duties will include:
    • Developing a strategic plan to optimise productivity and achieve organizational goals.
    • Reviewing and improving organisational effectiveness through process development, employee oversight, and innovative changes.
    • Adhering to company standards for excellence and quality.
    • Identifying opportunities for expansion and growth by developing new business relationships.
    • Providing guidance and feedback to help team members strengthen specific knowledge and skill areas.
    • Overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning and ensuring the completion of weekly performance goals, and accomplishing your own goals.
    • Recruiting, onboarding, and training high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
    • Maintaining project timelines to ensure effective task completion.
    • Developing, implementing, and maintaining budgetary and resource allocation plans.
    • Delegating responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and cultural values.
    • Efficiently resolving internal staff conflicts to the mutual benefit of all involved.

    Qualifications:

    In addition to the responsibilities outlined, we are looking for candidates with the following ideal skills and qualifications:

    • Proven success in a managerial role, demonstrating leadership and decision-making ability.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
    • Experience in the marketing and events (desired)
    • A proven track record of developing and achieving financial plans.
    • Ability to motivate and lead employees while holding them accountable for results.
    • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures in events and marketing industry
    • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business management or a related field.
    • Experience in conducting performance evaluations and driving performance improvement.
    • Working knowledge of human resources processes and employee development.
    • Top flexibility and adaptability to evolving business needs.

    Remuneration: Gross Kes. 90,000 – 100,000

    Event Operations Manager

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    As an Event Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the client’s events. Your responsibilities and duties will include:

    • Understanding the requirements and details of each event.
    • Identifying and addressing clients' needs and wants.
    • Regularly meeting and coordinating with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
    • Creating event proposals and presenting them effectively.
    • Negotiating sponsorship deals to enhance event success.
    • Handling event logistics, including vendor and venue coordination.
    • Maintaining strong working relationships with vendors and venues.
    • Planning various event aspects, such as venue, food, and beverage.
    • Delegating event planning tasks to team members when necessary.
    • Coordinating event social programs to engage participants.
    • Staying within budget while ensuring event specifications are met.
    • Issuing invoices and collecting payments promptly, while creating comprehensive financial reports.
    • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, directing event setup, communicating with staff, and organizing vendors.
    • Collaborating with the marketing team to create effective event advertisements.
    • Anticipating and planning for different event scenarios.
    • Offering timely solutions to resolve issues.
    • Creating sales opportunities for future events during client liaisons and events, leveraging a strong knowledge of the company.
    • Evaluating event success and submitting comprehensive reports.
    • Managing and planning multiple events concurrently.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

    • 3-5 years of experience as an event coordinator/manager or in a similar role.
    • A portfolio showcasing your successful event management track record.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Exceptional vendor management skills.
    • A strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company's success.
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Team player with excellent time management.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
