    Duties

    The Protocol Officer will be responsible for the following:

    • Organizing and coordinating official events;
    • Preparing guest lists and seating arrangements;
    • Coordinating arrangements for press coverage of official functions;

    Duties

    The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the following:

    • Originating and ideating design for visual assets and illustrations according to various written briefs;
    • Design creative graphics for social media, posters, flyers, website and other publicity and marketing materials;

    Deputy Director Liaison And Communication

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Specific duties and responsibilities will entail

    • Identifying Government events in a specific sectoral area that require packaging for dissemination to the media and the public.
    • Preparing and organizing fora where Government policies, programmes and projects can be propagated and promoted.
    • Gathering Information on policies, programmes, significant events and how they impact on customers and disseminating the sa me to the public/media. 
    • Ensuring proper projection of corporate image of the organization.
    • Carrying out research based on both local and international press on possible causes of negative publicity on Government and developing appropriate interventions.
    • Closely liaise with the Public Communications Office on cross cutting issues that require harmonization and dissemination centrally.

    • Facilitating printing of publicity materials for the County and internship to students in institutions of higher learning.

    • Management of news; co-ordination of Information services. 
    • Carrying out research on local and International press on public opinion towards the Government.

    Requirements

    An officer must have:

    • Seven (7) years service in Information/Public Communications sector;
    • Be a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized in Kenya and a post-graduate qualification in any of the following:
    • Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies/Science or a related field.
    • A Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Mass Communication, Communication Studies, Information Sciences, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, Social Sciences or any other approved equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
    • Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.

    Branding Officer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The Branding Officer/Graphic Designer will be responsible for the following:

    • Plan, develop and direct marketing efforts for the County brand;
    • Identify and prioritize the County’s marketing and branding needs;
