    Radiotherapist

    Reporting to the Lead Radiotherapist, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • Oversee the daily set-up of work location and patient schedule for treatment, and maintain efficient patient flow.
    • Verify and deliver ionizing radiation treatment to patients in a safe and accurate manner based on the prescribed treatment plan.
    • Localize and simulate patients based on prescribed parameters.
    • Prepare moulds and other immobilization devices to assist in the accurate treatment.
    • Monitor and observe patients receiving ionizing radiation for any unusual reactions and respond accordingly.
    • Ensure Quality Assurance is achieved on equipment, accessories and treatment plans;
    • Maintain accurate database of patient information and treatment plans;
    • Follow hospital and radiation oncology policies and procedures.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Diploma in Radiation Therapy/ Diploma in Radiography with a certificate in Radiation Therapy.
    • Valid license from Kenya Radiation Protection Board with prior experience of working with linear accelerators and simulation equipment.
    • Delivery of radiotherapy in a facility equipped with 3D-conformal radiotherapy, multileaf collimation and HDR brachy therapy will be an added advantage.
    • Two (2) years’ work experience.
    • Detail oriented
    • Conscientious
    • Good analytical skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal relations

    Surveillance Officer

    REF/SO/04/17

    Reporting to the Chief Security Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:-

    • Safeguard the security of patients, visitors, staff and property of the Hospital.
    • Observe, receive and obtain information from the e-surveillance system.
    • Document, record and maintain information in written or electronic/magnetic form and in a chronological order.
    • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
    • Provide consultation and advice to other departments on various security matters.
    • Liaise with external parties in the event of emergencies.
    • Inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify possible causes of security lapses.
    • Coordinate the work and activities of the security foot patrol team to accomplish common tasks.
    • Monitor and observe all operations within the Hospital premises through the IP CCTV systems for any irregular activities.
    • Ensure that safety hazards, suspicious activities or incidents of intended breach of security within the Hospital premises are identified, reported, captured, investigated and recorded.
    • Report and dispatch available security personnel to incident scenes and continually monitoring the team’s performance at the scene.
    • Conduct investigations and ensure that proper evidence is acquired, preserved, corroborated and documented.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum O level C+.
    • Diploma in security management or any related field is an added advantage.
    • 2 years progressive work experience in a similar position in a reputable institution.
    • Strong investigative and analytical skills.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Technical skills in security systems installation will be an added advantage.
    • Computer literate.

    Cost Accountant

    REF/CA/04/17

    Reporting to the Chief Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following amongst others:

    • Target costing projects, prepare margin analysis and trace costs back to the activities.
    • Provide cost effective data accumulation system to guide in decision making.
    • Develop cost accounting framework that facilitates reporting of contribution margins for every business unit within the Hospital and ultimately cost of individual patient care.
    • Provide reports on break even points by products and business units.
    • Minimize variances between actual and standard costs and give report on possible causes of variances which occur.
    • Support budgeting and cost forecasting periodically.
    • Identify and propose cost effective solutions to management
    • Create and review controls needed for data accumulation and reporting systems.
    • Analyze capital budgeting requests and advise accordingly.
    • Advice on product profitability, pricing structures and evaluation and monitoring supports required.
    • Generate reports for management, internal and external audits.
    • Participate in the month-end and year-end closing of the General ledger as well as the internal and external audits.

    Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

    • B.Com or Business degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
    • CPA (K).
    • 5 years’ experience in Accounting and specifically cost accounting.
    • Prior healthcare experience in managing cost accounting systems will be preferred.
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Ability to generate detailed reports that propose cost-effective solutions for the hospital.
    • Detail oriented.
    • Good analytical skills

    Administrative Officer

    Reporting to the Executive Director -GVRC, this position is responsible for effective and efficient coordination and service delivery within GVRC.

    • In addition to the administrative role, this position is required to fully participate in assigned projects from time to time.
    • Applicants must be in possession of a Bachelors degree in a business related field or in social sciences.
    • Experience in programme implementation will be an added advantage.
    • The successful candidate must have over 1-3years working experience in a similar position in a busy environment.
