    Head of Sub-Saharan Africa for an Education Foundation – Nairobi, Kenya

    The successful candidate, will lead the implementation of the strategy within the assigned region driving the sustainable growth of a “premium educational framework” to Schools and strategic partnerships with governments, education systems, and key stakeholders. The role is responsible for delivering region-level objectives, strengthening the framework presence across the education ecosystem, and aligning regional priorities with national education transformation goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead regional growth of the programmes at schools, driving community expansion and long-term impact within the region.
    • Oversee the country portfolio and manage the delegated budget, ensuring effective delivery of in-country programmes and operational excellence.
    • Lead and develop a cross-functional team of local professionals across community development, stakeholder partnerships, recognition and advocacy, marketing and communications, and business operations.
    • Develop and execute country-specific community partnership and development strategies aligned with regional and centrally approved priorities.
    • Drive the growth of already authorized schools and strategic school group partnerships, providing localised support and fostering strong engagement across the education community.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with Ministries of Education, education authorities, agencies, philanthropic organisations, industry partners, and other key stakeholders.
    • Monitor market trends and the education landscape, advising the Subregion Head/Regional Director on opportunities, risks, and alignment with national education reform agendas.
    • Represent the foundation externally, acting as the organisation’s ambassador in national forums and with key stakeholders to strengthen advocacy, influence, and the adoption of the programmes.

    Key Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Education, Public Policy, or related field
    • 7+ years of leadership experience in education, policy, or international programs.
    • Experience working with government and education institutions.
    • Familiarity with international education systems.
    • Proven track record in growing stakeholder base and stakeholder engagement.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain high-level partnerships with governments and institutions.

    Reconciliations Accountant – Nairobi, Kenya

    This role is focused on executing complex account reconciliations under the close guidance of external auditors. The successful candidate will play a hands-on role in resolving historical accounting discrepancies by methodically reconciling accounts and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform complex reconciliations across multiple accounts.
    • Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts and identify outstanding variances.
    • Review and reconcile grant accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Reconcile multi-currency transactions and investigate discrepancies.
    • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to the General Ledger and resolve mismatches.
    • Clean and validate financial data to support accurate financial reporting.
    • Prepare reconciliation schedules and supporting documentation for audit review.
    • Work closely with external auditors, implementing reconciliation tasks in line with agreed priorities.
    • Escalate unresolved issues and provide regular progress updates.
    • Maintain accurate records and ensure all reconciliations are fully documented.

    Key Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
    • Able to focus on detailed reconciliation work without losing accuracy.
    • Strong work ethic with the ability to manage high volumes of reconciliation tasks.
    • Able to work collaboratively under close guidance and meet tight deadlines.
