    Guest Service Agent

    Job Description

    • Welcome and assist Guests’ according to Accor Standards.
    • Receive each guest call in a professional and friendly manner.
    • Maintain effective communication with all related department to ensure smooth service delivery.
    • Handle every query in a polite and courteous manner and exceed guest expectations.
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of the hotel and local services.
    • Maintain an awareness of guest profile through the Opera guest profile system.
    • Maintain the guest wakeup call sheet and deliver calls accordingly on time and to the established standard.
    • Ensure the proper operation of the switchboard, resulting in fast and efficient transferring of internal and external calls.
    • Take messages for guests and management as per the required standard.
    • Be a brand ambassador by providing memorable Guest experiences.
    • Ensure prompt, efficient and updated recording of mails, parcels, and messages.
    • Personalize the interaction in anyway and engage with Guests as individuals.
    • Remain up to date and knowledgeable regarding nearby places of interest, promotions and events.

    Qualifications

    General Accountant

    Job Description

    • Support the Finance Manager in overseeing daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Ensure that the information presented in all reports is accurate and reflects actual business and financial transactions.
    • Prepare assigned monthly accounting entries and perform distribution of expenses between departments
    • Conduct periodic cash reviews and assist in surprise audits of the hotel's cash fund.
    • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
    • Manage cash flow, including monitoring bank balances, reconciling accounts, and ensuring sufficient funds for operational needs.
    • Assist in the coordination and preparation of audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
    • Supervise and mentor team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and accurate work.
    • Review and approve financial transactions, ensuring they comply with company policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for business decision-making.
    • Assist in implementing and maintaining financial systems, processes, and controls to improve efficiency and safeguard assets.
    • Stay updated on financial regulations, standards, and best practices, advising management on relevant changes and their impact on the business. Organization of financial administration.
    • Have a thorough knowledge of accounting functions and the ability to monitor, correct and demonstrate procedures to hotel quality standards.
    • Ensure that all files and reports are properly organised and filed for future reference.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
    • CPA certification
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including familiarity with complex formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with effective time management skills.
    • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Experience with general ledger management, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and suggest improvements.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Knowledge of audit processes, both internal and external.
    • Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
    • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial data.

    Porter/Valet

    Job Description

    • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm and friendly demeanour. Assist with loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
    • Safely park and retrieve guest vehicles, ensuring that all vehicles are handled with care and stored securely.
    • Transport luggage to and from guest rooms promptly and securely. Ensure luggage is tagged and stored appropriately when necessary.
    • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions. Assist with any guest inquiries and offer solutions to any concerns.
    • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lobby and entrance areas. Ensure that all areas are free from clutter and hazards.
    • Work closely with the front desk, concierge, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
    • Adhere to all safety protocols, including driving regulations and handling of guest belongings. Report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
    • Accommodate special requests from guests, such as arranging transportation, providing amenities, or assisting with event setups.
    • Maintain accurate records of vehicle tags, guest requests, and other relevant information.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in hospitality or customer service is an advantage.
    • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a luxury hotel environment, is preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to drive a variety of vehicles, including automatic and manual transmissions.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy luggage.
    • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with grace.
    • Knowledge of Nairobi and local attractions is a plus.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
    • Professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Positive attitude and a willingness to go above and beyond for guests.
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of other languages is an asset.
