    Assistant Manager, Brand Building - Fuel

    Your Role

    As Assistant Manager Trade Marketing, you will assist the Manager, Trade Marketing Fuel and Club to develop Trade marketing strategy and execute it in trade and at the point of sale in a Network such as Nairobi, Mombasa or West. You will be responsible for KPIs such as fuel sales in your network, store traffic, basket size, shopping frequency, ticket size, and ARPU as well as key initiatives in the annual Channel Marketing Plan for your network or region.

    What you will do

    Insights:

    • Assist the Manager, Trade Marketing Fuel and Club to uncover deep shopper, trade and local network insights. 
    • Assist the Manager, Trade Marketing Fuel and Club to stay current on market trends and competitor activity.
    • Assess competitor activity in your network.
    • Become the shopper expert in KOKO.

    Strategy & Planning:

    • Assist the Manager, Trade Marketing Fuel and Club to develop shopper/channel marketing strategy and plans across assortment, merchandising, pricing, promotion & pricing.

    Execution:

    • Partner with the Channel team and 3rd party companies to execute channel marketing plans in the trade and at the POS.
    • Share the Trade Marketing plans during cycle meetings with Channel teams.

    Tracking & Control:

    • Track key performance indicators and key Trade Marketing initiatives for your network.
    • Manage relevant Channel marketing budgets for your network.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with internal teams (Brand Building teams, Channel teams, Category Management teams, other cross functional teams) as well as external stakeholders such as merchandising companies and suppliers of POS, store branding and branded merchandise.

    What you will bring to KOKO

    • 3+ years of experience in mass market retail and or FMCG companies.
    • Basic appreciation of channel marketing, trade category management, trade marketing or customer marketing.
    • University degree in a related field, with postgraduate degrees preferred.

    Assistant Manager, Brand Development - Fuel & Club

    Your Role

    As Assistant Manager, Brand Development - KOKO Fuel, you will assist the BD Manager to develop a customer-facing brand strategy. This role involves designing and or refining world-class marketing mixes for KOKO Fuel that will make the brand more relevant (functionally, culturally & socially), easy (to see, to access, to find), and distinctive across geographies. You will be responsible for KPIs such as market share, sales growth, transaction growth, penetration, Average Litres per Cooker (ALPC), Average Revenue per User(ARPU), and Brand Health metrics as well as key initiatives in the 8 Quarter Rolling Plan.

    What You Will Do

    Insights:

    • Assist Manager, BD Fuel & Club to uncover deep customer insights by partnering with Marketing Research to resolve knowledge gaps, connect information and understand customer needs, wants and desires to create actionable opportunities
    • Assist Manager, BD Fuel & Club to review market research results to determine whether there’s a need for changes in our products and services.
    • Stay current on market trends and competitor activity.

    Strategy & Planning:

    • Assist Manager, BD Fuel & Club to develop a 24-month Brand Vision Plan and brand strategy (proposition, promotion, portfolio, pack, place, product, and price) for KOKO Fuel.
    • Assist Manager, BD Fuel & Club to design and or refine Brand Positioning and Brand ID guidelines.
    • Assist Manager, BD Fuel & Club to develop repeatable models that are scalable across multiple countries.

    Execution:

    Assistant Manager, Communication Channel Management (CCM) Fuel and Club

    Your Role

    As Assistant Manager, CCM Fuel, and Club, you will assist the Manager, CCM to develop a communication channel strategy across all paid-for touch points not limited to classical media and social media. You will be responsible for media key indicators such as Top of Mind Awareness, and Share of Voice as well as achieving efficiencies in media investment. You will be responsible for driving digital KPIs such as positive “buzz”, impressions, reach, followers, audience growth rate, video plays, posting frequency, engagement rate, clicks and shares, click-through rate & bounce rate.

    What You Will Do

    Insights:

    • Assist the Manager, CCM to uncover deep media insights by partnering with Marketing Research and using third-party publications to create actionable opportunities.
    • Stay current on market trends and competitor activity.

    Strategy & Planning:

    • Assist Manager CCM to develop media and digital strategy for KOKO.

    Execution:

    • Execute world-class media execution flow plans for ATL media.

    • Respond to customer queries on digital media.

    Coordinator, Marketing

    Your Role

    As the Marketing Coordinator - at KOKO, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day operations and data analysis for the marketing department. Your job is to make sure that the marketing team has all it needs in order to be successful in driving demand for KOKO Fuel and KOKO Club.

    What you will do

    • Provide administrative and logistical support to the marketing department.
    • Maintain key reference documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and shared drives for the marketing team by ensuring that there is one source of truth for all marketing-related items.
    • Become a Domo expert to effectively pull out reports to track sales KPIs.
    • Work with the Marketing Director and Marketing Team Leaders to ensure proper team marketing data management.
    • Develop daily, weekly, monthly reports, quarterly and annual reports for management and communications purposes.
    • Assist in creating slides or PowerPoint presentations for Marketing Director for KCBU LT, SIA reviews, Commercial Reviews, and monthly departmental meetings.
    • Support administration of marketing team needs, including hiring, onboarding, and HR documentation for employees.
    • Process all Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders for marketing-related activities.
    • Process petty cash for the marketing department.
    • Managing stock of marketing branded materials.

    • Fully operational in brand development.
    • University degree in a related field, with postgraduate degrees preferred.
