    General and Modern Trade Sales Executive

    Job Purpose

    • The role is multifaceted, involving the management of relationships with traditional trade outlets and modern retail channels. The role holder will be responsible for driving sales, optimizing product visibility, and ensuring a strong market presence across diverse retail platforms.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Trade Relationship Management:

    • Develop and nurture relationships with traditional trade outlets, such as independent stores, as well as modern trade partners, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and retail chains.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and trade partners.

    Sales Strategy Implementation:

    • Devise and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across both traditional and modern trade channels.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align strategies with overall company objectives.

    Product Placement and Visibility:

    • Optimize product placement within traditional trade outlets and coordinate with merchandising teams for effective displays.
    • Ensure optimal shelf space and visibility within modern trade channels.

    Promotions and Campaigns:

    • Plan and execute promotions and marketing campaigns tailored to both traditional and modern trade channels.
    • Negotiate promotional agreements and secure additional space for featured products.

    Data Analysis and Forecasting:

    • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.
    • Collaborate with demand planning and supply chain teams to ensure optimal inventory levels.

    Training and Support:

    • Conduct training sessions for retail staff in both traditional and modern trade outlets, focusing on product knowledge, promotions, and effective selling techniques.
    • Provide ongoing support to ensure the consistent and informed promotion of the company's products.

    Order Management:

    • Manage and process orders from various trade partners, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
    • Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent stockouts.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
    • At least 5 years’ experience in both general and modern trade sales within the FMCG industry.
    • Must have spent a minimum of two years with the same organization and demonstrated success in general and modern trade sales.
    • Strong understanding of trade dynamics, including negotiation processes, promotional activities, and market trends.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and act upon sales data.
    • Results-driven with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    • Familiarity with trade marketing strategies and merchandising principles.
    • Proficient in using CRM software and MS Office applications.
    • Adaptability, agility, and proactive problem-solving.

    Marketing Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Marketing Officer will be responsible for the creation and execution of a compelling marketing strategy, innovating below-the-line marketing activities, and introducing above-the-line activities as brand reach is achieved in target markets across modern and general trade. They will engage partners and distributors to ensure excellent execution of marketing activities.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

    • A bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.  
    • A master’s degree in marketing would be a plus.
    • Experience as a senior marketing professional with excellent marketing campaign results.
    • 5 years of marketing experience, predominantly in strategy execution.
    • Must have a minimum of two years with the same organization and demonstrable success as a Senior Marketing professional.
    • Ability to foster relationships, motivate, and lead teams to success.
    • Experience in the use of SEO, CRM software, and Google Analytics, analyzing insights gathered to drive revenue growth.
    • Highly analytical detail and solutions-oriented thinker with excellent project management skills, problem-solving abilities, and strong negotiation and persuasive skills.
    • Strong creative capability across communication (presentation, storytelling, innovation) that leverages exceptional customer understanding.
