Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Diploma in any of the following fields: Building and Civil Engineering: Construction Technician Part III: or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
• A minimum experience of three (3) years in this field.

• Vetting and verifying physical development plans
• Inspecting sites
• Identifying site characteristics and establishing site suitability or proposed development
• Cataloguing and maintaining plan records
• Converting analogue data to digital format using geographical system

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• A minimum experience of six (6) years in this field.
• Diploma in any of the following areas Urban and Regional planning, urban planning, Building, Civil Engineering, Cartography, Geo-informatics Geographic information systems (GIS) from a recognized Institution
• Associate membership of Kenya Institute of planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town planning chapter)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting Data for the National Land Value Index
• Collecting and analyzing market data for valuation purposes
• Apportioning rents following sub-divisions, change of users, and louse extensions
• Undertaking Stamp Duty valuations
• Inspecting land and properties for rating, purchase, sale, and leasing purposes
• Making searches on titles in land registries for various valuation purposes
• Calculating areas from building plans and maps
• Measuring buildings in the field for valuation
• Preparing plans and lists of plot owners and areas affected by and acquisition projects
• Filing stamp Duty valuation reports.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Bachelors degree in any following disciplines: Land Economics. Real Estate, and Property Studies or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• A minimum experience of three (3) years in this field.
• Certificate in Computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collecting data for valuation purposes
• Filing and retrieving valuation reports, valuation roils, maps and other valuation records and data
• Maintaining sales maps and cards
• Compiling maps and records for rating (valuation rolls) and for land acquisition purposes
• Making Searches on titles in land registries for various purposes.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Diploma in Real Estate Agency and Property Management or its equivalent certification from a recognized institution.
• A minimum experience of three (3) years in this field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Planning of supervision programmes for buildings in the annual works programme:
• Preparation of monthly progress reports on each project;
• Periodic site inspection visits to ascertain adherence to building specifications/standards and monitoring of work progress.
• The officer will also coordinate supervision of repairs and alterations in depots.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• A minimum experience of nine (9) years in this field.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Developing plans for strategic county projects and programmes
• Interpreting county policies
• Formulation of strategies
• Contacting thematic issue research on matters relating to strategic county projects and programmes
• Supervising preparation of county urban and rural plans
• Implementing strategies for public education
• Participation and engagement
• Preparing annual state of physical planning reports on county projects /programmes
• Providing guidance to liaison committees and secretariats

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• A minimum experience of fifteen (15) years in this field.
• Have a Bachelor degree in any of the following disciplines Urban and Regional planning. Urban town planning from a recognized institution
• Have a Masters degree in urban and regional planning, town planning from a recognized institution
• Be a corporate member of Kenya Institute of Planners or Architectural Association of Kenya (Town planning chapter)
• Be registered by the physical planners Registration Board
• Have certificate in computer from a recognized institution
• Have demonstrated technical and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results
• A certificate in strategic leadership development programme (SLDP) Lasting not less than six weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

• Enforcing relevant provisions of various statutes relating to valuation;
• Developing and reviewing the National Land Value Index;
• Undertaking Stamp Duty valuations;
• Undertaking investigations on valuation disputes and appeals;
• Generating, collecting and remitting revenue from valuation services;
• Preparing valuation case briefs and responses to County assembly issues;
• Attending courts and tribunals on valuation matters;
• Coordinating valuation of assets for Departments in the County;
• Coordinating assessment of ground rent during sub-divisions, alienations, change of users and extension of leases;
• Preparing research proposals on emerging valuation trends and issues;
• Preparing reports on the impact of infrastructural projects on land values;
• Representing the public sector Valuers in the Valuers and Estate Agents Registration Boards coaching and mentoring of staff

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• A minimum experience of fifteen (15) years in this field.
• Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Economics, Real Estate and Property Studies or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Property Valuation, Estate Management. Property Studies, Real Estate or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
• Membership to the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK), Valuation and Estate Management Surveyors Chapter;
• Be registered by the Valuers Registration Board;
• Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
• A certificate in strategic leadership development programme (SLDP) Lasting not less than six weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage

• Assessing human capacity development needs in line with the changing professional demands
• Carrying out national and international boundary surveys
• Supervising research of new and emerging technologies
• Verifying cadastral, adjudication, topographical, sub- divisional schemes, photo engineering surveys
• Carrying out quality control of astronomical, gravity, magnetic, cadastral, VLBI observations, adjudication and general boundary surveys
• Calibrating and certifying survey equipment.
• Estimating and costing of survey projects.

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• A minimum experience of fifteen (15) years in this field.
• Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: Land surveying and photogrammetry, Geomatics Engineering. Technology in Geomatics, Technology in Geo-informatics, Geo- spatial Engineering. Philosophy in Technology (Survey) from a recognized institution.
• Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying, Land management. Cartography, Photogrammetry, Photolithography, Geomatic Engineering, Technology in Geomatics. Technology in Geoinformatics, Geo- spatial Engineering, Geographical Information Systems (GIS), Urban or Regional Planning, Geodesy, Hydrography. Environmental Science, Information Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Full membership of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (MISK).
• A certificate in strategic leadership development programme (SLDP) Lasting not less than six weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
