About the role:
Tele collection Agent will work closely with the various stakeholders including; The risk management, sales team and Regional collections managers to serve existing customers who have stopped/delayed making daily/monthly instalments for the units they have purchased on PAYG basis by providing proper, efficient and timely service as per endorsed SLA, and contribute to realization of company’s goals by reducing number of disabled customers and enhance company’s portfolio quality.
What you would be expected to do:
- Contact customers to remind them of their outstanding payments, using the available scripts and call guides provided by Sun King.
- To ensure proper knowledge is provided with a high degree of efficiency to delinquent customers so that they may continue with payments by re-educating them on the key terms of the sale agreement.
- Negotiate payment arrangements with customers, taking into account their financial situation and the company's policies and procedures.
- Set up repayment plans and new terms of sale. Record a new covenant to repay debt
- Verification of clients' KYC details & update account information in the company's collections system, including notes on the customer's payment history and any payment arrangements made.
- Provide excellent customer service to customers, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and humane manner.
- Ensure adherence to the company policies and procedures related to collections, including regulations related to consumer protection practices.
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly targets for calls made, collections made, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) as defined by the Sun King.
- Record & escalate any abnormal issues reported by customers during the disabled call down, such as faulty or stolen, or repossessed products, suspected fraud cases, etc
- Utilize computer systems to handle skip tracing
You would be a strong candidate if you:
- Possess a diploma/degree in a business-related field(E.g. Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline).

Zonal Training Strategy & Execution
- Own the zone's annual training plan, aligned to zonal sales targets, product launches, seasonality, and country-level training priorities.

- Deploy blended learning across the zone: classroom, field coaching, WhatsApp microlearning, and LMS content.

Sales Performance Enablement

- Steer "License to Sell" certification for the Area Business Managers during promotional engagements.

Content & Curriculum Management
- Translate Country and HQ training assets into zone-relevant content: customer income levels, grid reliability, local objections, industry landscape.
- Create zone-specific job aids: demo scripts, load calc sheets, "Top 10 Objections in" with answers.
- Feed field insights back to Country and HQ Product and Marketing teams: customer confusion points, market shifts, product feedback.
- Localize training content to zone languages, customer segments, and industry landscape.
Learning Evaluation & Reporting
- Own zonal training KPIs: zonal Collection Score contribution from trained cohorts, zonal 30- day activation rate, weighted-unit productivity uplift, Time-to-First-Sale, Demo Pass Rate, and % Certified CFSES.
- Interpret and act on zone-level reports covering Sales Productivity, Repayment Performance, Customer Retention, and Agent Attrition Trends.

About the role:
We are seeking a hands-on Regional Mentor to build and deliver product, process, sales, and technical training for our field agents and the Area Business Managers selling Solar Home Systems and Inverters across Sun King Markets. The role holder will be the bridge between HQ product strategy and frontline sales execution by ensuring every Energy Officer can demonstrate, pitch, install, do basic troubleshooting, and close effectively. - Possess strong technical grasp of Solar Home Systems, inverters, batteries, and basic electrical concepts
- Demonstrate proven sales background, you've carried a target, and can teach others how to sell
- Have experience training non-technical audiences: agents, dealers, micro-entrepreneurs.
- Are willing to travel 80%+ across the region for hands-on and face-to-face training sessions
- Are fluent in English + [relevant local languages, e.g. Kiswahili, Meru, Somali]
- Demonstrate comprehension of graphic design, video editing, or the ability to use advanced content authoring tools are advantages.
