    Aggregators Manager

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Channel strategy & growth: own and grow revenue, orders and profitability across aggregator/delivery platforms in line with budget; set and deliver channel targets; pursue expansion through new platforms, locations and virtual brands.
    • Partner management: act as the primary liaison and relationship owner with aggregator/delivery partners; negotiate and manage commercial terms, commissions and co-investment; run joint business plans and regular reviews.
    • Commercial & profitability: ensure the channel is profitable as per budget; manage delivery pricing to protect margins; reconcile partner payouts and settlements with Finance and control channel costs and promotional spend.
    • Menu, pricing & merchandising: ensure accurate, consistent menus, naming, descriptions, imagery and pricing across all platforms; optimise merchandising and item/store availability to grow conversion and average order value.
    • Promotions & visibility: plan, execute and evaluate promotions, campaigns and platform advertising with Marketing; manage funded/co-funded spend and ROI; drive brand visibility, ranking and placement to hit sales targets.
    • Delivery operations: monitor and improve store uptime, order acceptance/preparation times, accuracy, cancellations and rejections; review order progress and resolve issues; ensure high service standards are upheld by all managers, including Area Managers.
    • Customer experience: resolve guest queries and complaints promptly through the platform or branch; monitor and act on NPS, ratings and reviews; disseminate guest feedback to the relevant aggregator or branch.
    • Dashboards, data & analytics: manage aggregator dashboards and keep queries, content and data current; analyse and report channel, sales and customer trends; generate insights to improve revenue, operations and experience.
    • Coordination, training & standards: align operations, branches, Marketing, Finance and IT/POS on channel delivery; develop and run training on aggregator and branch operations; conduct regular branch visits to appraise operations and the handling of aggregators and riders.
    • Market intelligence & innovation: conduct market research and competitor benchmarking; maintain detailed knowledge of Java House brands and the competition; recommend innovations and new opportunities to grow the channel.
    • Leadership & reporting: lead, supervise and develop direct report(s); keep management informed of matters needing attention, particularly guest feedback; provide regular, accurate reports to the Business Development Strategy Manager; and perform any other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Hospitality Management, Public Relations/Communication or a related field.
    • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili; excellent written and verbal communication.
    • Strong commercial, financial and analytical skills; comfortable with dashboards, spreadsheets, forecasts and performance data.

    Experience

    • 5+ years’ experience in channel/account management, delivery or e-commerce, FMCG, QSR or hospitality, with a proven record of revenue and profit growth.
    • Demonstrated experience managing third-party delivery/aggregator platforms and negotiating commercial terms.
    • Working knowledge of aggregator dashboards and the delivery industry, and experience leading or coordinating teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT (licences, certificates, travel, physical requirements, etc.)

    • Ability to travel and conduct branch visits at short notice.
    • Valid driving licence.
    • Ability to work long and flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays and peak periods.
    • Willingness to work across multiple locations.

    Refrigeration Technician Intern

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in Carrying out preventive and reactive maintenance of refrigeration equipment and and electrical equipment at Foodscape, as indicated in the “Core Competencies” section below, in order to ensure such equipment is functional and safe for use by operators when required.
    • Assist in Carrying out maintenance-related activities that affect food safety in assigned locations in order to eliminate food safety hazards.
    • Record activities carried out in required formats for future reference.

    Job specifications:

    Qualifications

    • Diploma/ Certificate in Refrigeration from a recognized institution of tertiary education.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    • Ability to work at heights
    • Ability to work in night shifts for up to 20% of time on duty

    CORE COMPETENCIES:

    • Proficient in trouble-shooting, repair and servicing refrigeration installations, single- and three-phase wiring, lighting and socket circuits
    • Proficient in trouble-shooting, repair and servicing of equipment
    • Basic plumbing, masonry and carpentry skills

    • Good written and spoken technical communication skills

    Operations Team Member

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to tables promptly and accurately.
    • Ensure food presentation, temperature, and quality meet restaurant standards.
    • Communicate with kitchen and service staff regarding order status and guest needs.
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the waiter stations and the restaurant .
    • Always follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Assist with restocking condiments.
    • Support opening and closing duties as assigned  depending on the business dynamics.
    •  Maintains a clean, tidy and working tables at all times. Presenting a variety of menu options and take lead on suggestive selling based on customer preferences.
    • Consistently follows the set Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) during production.
    • Taking orders and delivering them to the table neatly and accurately in accordance to the ticket specification and presenting bills on time and accept payment.
    • Cleaning of pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, guest and staff toilets, equipment/machines and sanitization of general kitchen.
    • Ensure proper waste management by disposing of bins and cleaning of grease traps.
    • Food preparation, presentation, correct storage and production of the right quality.
    • Assist the wait staff during busy shifts to reduce the customer wait time and ensure all meals are served hot and fresh.
    • Cleaning of guest and staff washrooms.
    • Cleaning and sanitization of general kitchen.
    • Ensure proper waste management by disposing of bins and cleaning of grease traps.
    • Correct use of detergent.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be a good planner, ability to think and make quick decisions under pressure, strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
    • Must be flexible, a team player, highly responsible & reliable.
    • Must be customer-oriented and have excellent customer care technique and application.
    • Ability to up sell and inform our guest on new menu product
    • Must be result oriented, self-driven, articulate and pro-active.
    • In-house training in service.
    • 6 months working experience as a certified Java House Staff. Ability to work under pressure and long hours.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Must have basic housekeeping skills.
    • Be conversant with the Java House Africa coffee/beverage menu and dedicated to its systems and procedures.

    SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    • Must have a KCSE certificate with a mean grade of C plain
    • Must be interested in hospitality industry.
    • Should have a sound menu and product knowledge.
    • Should have been in the company for at least six months or have equivalent skills from a food and beverage set up.

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • Basic knowledge on food safety and HACCP plan.
    • Accommodative and adaptive to new changes and regulations.
