    Head of Business Development

    Role Summary:

    The core of your job is to build relationships with insurance partners and large employers to understand their healthcare needs and then find ways for Penda to partner to provide solutions. You will be pioneering this role working directly with our General Manager of the Kenyan Medical Centres with close collaboration with many key leadership team members across the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Continuously work to understand the needs of insurance companies and large employers to be able to develop and sell solutions that meet their needs.
    • Generate leads through offline and online channels.
    • Conceptualize, create, and disseminate sales collateral including presentations, brochures, etc.
    • Lead account management processes to ensure 100% client satisfaction.
    • Track processes in a robust CRM and constantly evaluate the tool for usefulness.
    • Ensure excellent service delivery to partners in collaboration with other core departments.
    • Make sure Penda’s culture is supported and expanded in everything we do.

    Requirements:

    • 7+ years in business development/sales and B2B account management with large companies and/or dealing with corporate HR departments.
    • Deep experience and knowledge of the health and/or insurance space.
    • Passion for consultative selling and customer success.
    • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize healthcare solutions for insurance companies or large corporates.

    Pharmacy Technologist

    Role Summary:

    We are searching for smart, caring and responsible Pharm Techs who want to become amazing all-around, evidence-based Pharm Techs. This is a key clinical position that will provide a critical impact on our ability to provide comprehensive healthcare to our patients.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting clinician’s prescriptions
    • Dispense medications, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals as per the prescription
    • Control medications by monitoring drug therapies, advising on interactions and advising clinicians on alternatives
    • Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals; counseling patients on drug therapies
    • Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory levels, anticipate needed medications and supplies, place orders and manage short expiry drugs
    • Receive, verify, bill, fill and dispense drugs/medical supplies as ordered or prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner.
    • Enforce loss prevention policies at the pharmacy
    • Enforce the Dangerous Drugs Act regulations in the Pharmacy
    • Be an integral member of the whole medical centre team in providing an amazing patient experience. Handle patients with empathy and understanding

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology required 
    • Must be registered with Pharmacy and Poison Board
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in health or community-related work
    • Outstanding patient interaction skills are a must
    • Great team player with drive for results and enjoys being part of a team

    Nursing Officer

    Role Description:

    Nursing Officers at Penda ensure the best quality of service and excellent patient experience through standardized patient triaging, management of emergencies, best MCH/FP services as well as other out-patient procedures.  This position will report to the Medical Centre Team Leader and will work with a great  multidisciplinary team that is committed to serving the communities where Penda operates

    Responsibilities:

    • Initial assessment of patients, triaging, MCH/FP and nursing procedures as well as administering IV or IM medications using nursing best practice.
    • Ensure the Medical Centre is always ready and well stocked with supplies and equipment, including well-packed clean and sterile items to attend to general and emergency cases. 
    • Be an Infection Prevention and Control Champion
    • Quality patient education and  excellent patient experience to all clients.
    • Accurately and comprehensively record patient data in Penda’s electronic medical record in real-time.
    • Complete the necessary MoH reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Nursing – KRCHN holding a valid practicing license from NCK.
    • Valid BLS certification is mandatory, ACLS is an added advantage
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a busy Healthcare Facility
    • Demonstrated experience in MCH/FP
    • Good communication (written and verbal) skills, outstanding patient interaction skills.
    • Strong demonstrated ability to use electronic health records and digital health tools
