    Shift Engineer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee and ensure timely completion of all equipment, repairs and maintenance activities.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot plant machinery issues to minimise production downtime.
    • Monitor performance and reliability of critical facilities and production plants such as, boilers, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Fuel Handling Systems (FHS), Dust Extraction Systems (DES), Water Treatment Plant (WTP), chillers, cooling towers, compressors, refinery, tank farm, soap plant, oil filing, fats plant.
    • Apply knowledge of engineering principles in the design of plant equipment and piping systems.
    • Interprets and develops Process Flow Diagrams, Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Process Data Sheets.
    • Provide technical input in equipment selection, procurement of parts and spare management.
    • Support operators and maintenance teams in troubleshooting plant equipment issues.
    • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards and issues relating to production and maintenance.
    • Receive, record and inspect all incoming spares and equipment, ensuring adherence to required specifications and quality.
    • Take ownership of personal training plans, with support from management.
    • Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in edible oil refining, soap manufacturing, or related FMCG processing and packaging industries.

    Quality Control Chemist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop test plans and procedures on products and ensure compliance with quality standards.
    • Design and prepare start-up procedures for liquid soap operation.
    • Prepare laboratory reagents and ensure all working chemicals are standardised.
    • Perform liquid soap market analysis, recipe finalisation, raw material sourcing and analysis, and lab scale trials for production of liquid soap.
    • Conduct analysis such as market sample analysis and facilitate the generation of analysis reports.
    • Conduct market and competitive product analysis, support sourcing of raw materials, recipe finalisation and lab-scale production trials.
    • Review and verify test results to ensure accuracy before communicating with production.
    • Collaborate with production supervisors to ensure production start-up to minimise downtime.
    • Oversee equipment calibration before the start of production.
    • Facilitate onboarding of new staff in the department through training and mentorship.
    • Identify and resolve production issues and problems to maintain process efficiency.
    • Document test results, map failures, and recommend corrective actions to support process stability and continuous improvement.
    • Supervise and improve work by the Quality Control team, and ensure adherence to procedures.
    • Support the implementation of Advanced Quality Systems (AQS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) as required.

    Key Professional Experience and Educational background required

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry or related background.
    • 8 years of experience in liquid soap analysis and manufacturing, with experience leading liquid soap preparation and processing

    Liquid Soap Operator

    Key Responsibilities

    • Operate and monitor soap plant equipment, ensuring efficient functioning and operation during the soap production process.
    • Follow specified formulation and recipes to prepare soap batches in accurate proportions.
    • Ensure safe handling and storage of saponification chemicals.
    • Ensure quality control through monitoring and testing of soap to meet set quality standards.
    • Troubleshoot operational issues and correct malfunctioning equipment.
    • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Maintain accurate production records.
    • Training team members to build skills and knowledge in general plant operations.
    • Supervise tank farm operations such as offloading, record keeping, safety compliance and maintaining tank levels.
    • Meet daily production targets.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in liquid soap manufacturing operations.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of liquid soap manufacturing process and filling operations.
