Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• The HR Officer / Administrator shall provide the operational and administrative backbone of Jawabu Biashara HR function.

The role owns HR operations, including:

• The full employee lifecycle.
• Employee records, systems and data integrity.
• Payroll and statutory compliance.
• Performance and development administration.
• Training and HR reporting.
• Employee relations, policy & culture.
• Benefits, vendors & budget.

Requirements: Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business, or a closely related HR discipline. IHRM membership (or eligibility) required.
• Minimum 2–4 years of progressive HR operations/administration experience, preferably in a growth-focused lending entity.
• Hands-on ownership of payroll processing, including statutory remittances (PAYE, NSSF, SHIF/NHIF).
• Experience with HRIS/payroll platforms (Wingu Box or equivalent).
• Working knowledge of Kenyan labor law and statutory compliance.
• Strong MS Office Suite/Google Sheets skills and records/tracker management/data analytics skills.
• Finance or accounting exposure is an added advantage, given sole ownership of payroll and statutory remittances.

• This is a senior position and the fulcrum of the business operations within the institution. The position reports to the Director of Operations.
• The key deliverable for the role is Growth | Scale & Budget, Quality portfolio and staff productivity.

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

The duties of an Accounts Assistant will include but not limited to;

• Bank Reconciliations
• Processing of invoices and payments
• Records Management and Filing for the Accounts & Finance department
