    Principal Supply Chain Officer

    REF: KICC/PSCO/2020

    The Principal Supply Chain Officer reports to Supply Chain Manager.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and consolidating procurement and disposal plans;
    • Coordinate market surveys and research for goods, works and services;
    • Maintain and archiving of documents and records of the procurement and disposal activities for the required period;
    • Preparing the corporation’s framework agreements for goods, works and services;
    • Consolidation of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual statutory and management reports on procurement activities;
    • Contract implementation and monitoring procurements contracts as at prescribed in the procurement manual/ policies/ procedures to ensure adherence to the law;
    • Drafting advisory/ professional opinion on procurement matters to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
    • Preparing tender and asset disposal documents to facilitate competition and contract documents in line with the aware decision as well as issuance of debriefing letters; and
    • Preparing contract variations and modification documents for goods, works and services;

    Qualifications

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    • A minimum period of six (6) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of senior officer.
    • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines;- Procurement, Purchasing,Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business
    • Administration of any equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Procurement,Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or any equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
    • Member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) or Chartered Institute of Purchasing (CIPS);
    • Valid Practicing license from Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM);
    • Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
    • Proficiency in computer applications; and
    • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;

    Principal Digital Communication Officer (Social Media Platform and Content)

    JOB GRADE 4 REF: KICC/PDCO-SM/2020

    The Principal Digital Communication Officer, Social Media Platform and content reports to Digital Communications Manager and is responsible for managing the organizations social media and online interactions with customers though social media.

     Responsibilities

    • Overseeing the social media strategy for the corporation ensuring it aligns with the institutions brand.
    • Engaging with customers through use of social media.
    • Keeping up to date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.
    • Maximizing followers social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Google plus and Pinterest.
    • Ensuring that approaches to social media are relevant and appropriate for each medium.
    • Monitoring social media for customer comments both positive and negative.
    • Building reporting frameworks to evaluate return on investment on the various platforms.
    • Engaging with customers to resolve customer service issues and or create positive public relations opportunities.
    • Continuous research into new relevant social media channels and their impact on the brands marketing.
    • Working with the marketing team to look at ways social media can work within wider campaigns.
    • Analysing social media insights to guide future social media campaigns.
    • Developing a content calendar across all platforms ensuring a constant supply of relevant content.
    • Holding workshops for the wider marketing team to explain the importance of social media and how it can impact their campaigns.
    • Reporting on social media mentions of the brand internally providing useful feedback to product and marketing teams.
    • Searching social media for off diary stories and content.
    • Planning and delivery of community management strategies through social media.

    Qualifications

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: – Communications or Journalism or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Have a Master’s degree from a recognized institution.
    • Have a minimum period of six (6) years relevant work experience of three(3) should have been at a level of senior officer.
    • Be a registered member of a relevant professional body.
    • Have a certificate in management course lasting not less than four (4) years from a recognized institution.
    • Be proficient in computer applications and have articulate and professional communication skills.
    • Have a strong understanding of content management systems.
    • Excellent understanding of digital marketing search engine optimization on how social media impact on this.
    • Passionate and result oriented individual.
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.

    Principal Digital Communication Officer (Web Development and Management)

    JOB GRADE 4 REF: KICC/PDCO-WD/2020

    The Principal Digital Communication Officer, Web Development and Management reports to Digital Communications Manager and manages content creation for the Corporation’s website ensuring content on the website stays up to date and relevant.

    Responsibilities

    • Overseeing all content creation activities of the organizations website.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to devise a web content strategy that aligns with the Corporation’s wider goals.
    • Creation of content marketing calendar to ensure regular content on the website throughout the year.
    • Writing entertaining and informative search engine optimized copy.
    • Targeting key words set by the online manager and basing articles around them.
    • Keeping up to date with industry best practice and monitoring content activities of competitor websites.
    • Assisting the online manager with ad-hoc copy-writing.
    • Re-purposing content for different mediums including social media and video.
    • Creation of entertaining and informative video content for the website.
    • Working alongside the social media manager to create content for the different social media channels.
    • Updating all sections of the website including homepage and all other categories.
    • Training the eCommerce team on how to use the website content management system.

    Qualifications

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must:

    • Have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following: – Communications or Journalism or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • Have a Master’s degree from a recognized institution.
    • Have a minimum period of six (6) years relevant work experience of three(3) should have been at a level of senior officer.
    • Be a registered member of a relevant professional body.
    • Be highly articulate with an excellent command of written English.
    • Be creative minded with an ability to conceive interesting ideas for new content.
    • Have a certificate in management course lasting not less than four (4) years from a recognized institution.
    • Be proficient in computer applications.
    • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the constitution.

    Marketing Officer

    JOB GRADE 5 REF: KICC/MO/2020

    An officer at this level will work under direct supervision of a Principal Marketing Officer and is responsible for overseeing the Corporation’s marketing campaigns both internally and externally and play a key part in communicating the organizations marketing message.

    Responsibilities

    • Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity material to maximize brand promotion.
    • Creating marketing campaigns and working with the Corporation’s external Public Relation agency to see them executed.
    • Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the Corporation’s message to the existing customers.
    • Contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan.
    • Planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success.
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing activity.
    • Developing and implementing an internal marketing programme.
    • Supporting the Marketing Manager in day to day marketing activities.
    • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales.

    Qualifications

    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the followings; Tourism Management, Commerce,Business Administration (Marketing Option) or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Have a minimum period of six (6) years relevant work experience of three (3) should have been at a level of senior officer.
    • Proficiency in computer applications.
    • Supervisory course lasting not less than two (2) weeks.
    • Fulfilling the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
