    Head of Growth

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    We’re looking for a Head of Growth to create a growth engine that allow us to sustain the current exponential pace of growth. You will be excited to identify and analyse new growth opportunities, to create a clear strategy around those opportunities and to design and roll out interventions to take advantage of those opportunities. You will have a passion to translate the proven interventions into systems and processes that can be executed by the retail, customer care and marketing teams - that you will directly manage – so that our growth is both fast-pace and sustainable.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

    • You will identify the growth strategy and implement levers to achieve it. Some of the strategic questions that you will tackle will include: what are the essential component of our value proposition to customer and what is the optimal price? What are the triggers and signal that will indicate that we need to expand outside of Nairobi? What are the new sales channels that we should consider and what is the best sequence and pace of introduction? How do we convince more customer to shop directly online?
    • You will work closely with the CEO and CCO to identify the main factors that drive our top line growth but also our profitability and sustainability. You will be directly involved in conducting key analysis and strategic discussions that drive the overall company’s strategy
    • You will lead 3 teams – retail, marketing and customer care – to continuously improve their efficiency to drive improvements of our unit economics. The improvements that you will consider and coach the team to identify and execute will include: how can we make our cost of digital sales more effective? How can we increase the productivity of your showrooms? How can we consistently achieve the customers’ happiness score target?
    • You will continuously ask how you can delegate your current tasks so that you can move your focus to the next big-growth opportunity. With that goal in mind, you will design processes and systems that will support team to execute what is expected from them while creating smiles for our customers.
    • You will invest in creating a team of leaders that is always ready for the next challenge they will face: you will coach you direct report to improve their capabilities, you will use both internal analysis and external benchmarks to identify capacity gaps in the sales teams and in manager skills and will organize training to fill those gaps. You will create a scalable and predictable organization structure that can keep up with the fast growth while giving opportunities for growth to the Mokoers in the teams.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • You have 3+ years of management consulting experience, or experience in growth or innovation teams in fast-paced environments.
    • You are a highly analytical problem-solver, with a proven track record of analysing and solving complex strategic problems
    • You are a structured & experienced project manager, adept at leading cross-functional teams, taking initiatives from concept to implementation.
    • You excel in data analysis, and enjoy digging into data to find actionable insights
    • You are an excellent people manager, who can motivate and grow the team reporting to you.
    • You have a track record work working well with peers and managing ‘upwards’
    • You love tackling tough problems and having fun in the process.

    Finished Products Supervisor

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    We’re looking to add a Finished Products Supervisor to our Operations team, who will maintain the inventory storage areas and manage a team of inventory clerks. You will also work with different teams to ensure that we maintain the quality of products. Finally, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you will verify clerical computations of stock, adjust any errors and make accurate reports.

    Your main responsibilities will be:

    Inventory Management

    • Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust any errors in computation
    • Communicate to production when maximum storage space for discounted cushions & mattresses is about to be depleted
    • Notify the Quality Control team of any damaged products that have passed through as quality products
    • Update the dispatch supervisor of the foam products in stock
    • Maintain inventory storage areas by organizing floor space, implementing prescribed storage principles, and recommending improvements where necessary
    • Communicate to the Customer Engagement team when there is excess discounted stock to be disposed of

    Team Management

    • Monitor and manage the performance of Inventory Clerks in their respective storage locations
    • Plan and monitor inventory clerks’ work schedule to ensure they achieve a minimum of 48 working hours per week
    • Ensure the team undertaking tasks are fully donned in their PPE’s and are observing all other safety requirements
    • Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance
    • Define and implement warehouse standard operating procedures
    • Ensuring basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations

    Documentation & Administration

    • Daily update of the daily reconciliation report & stock movement report
    • Process and file stock return notes while ensuring all stock that is returned has passed through Quality
    • Control accreditation before storage

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

    • You have previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar management position
    • You have training in business management, logistics, supply chain or a related field
    • You have strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management
    • You have great time management skills and the ability to delegate
    • You have excellent leadership and organizational skills.
    • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and G-suite
    • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • You possess great analytical and database management skills
    • You have the ability to analyze and solve problems

    Retail Operations Assistant

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    The ideal Retail Operations Assistant is a detail-oriented person who has a passion for engaging customers and telling the Moko story. They are self-motivated and keen to learn on the job. They enjoy taking on a variety of tasks from running customer care programs to running market research surveys.     THE ROLE IN BRIEF

    Customer care and support

    • Make outbound calls to customer to arrange home deliveries 
    • Pre-plan the delivery time bands
    • Coordinate with the delivery team to manage home deliveries to customers
    • Ensure that payments are collected and posted on the appropriate channels
    • Assist customers in case of queries such as replacement of the product or assistance with product guarantee
    • Maintain a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times
    • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary

    Delivery scheduling

    • Make outbound calls to customer to arrange home deliveries 
    • Data collection – to provide a base for better analysis and better decision making.
    • Schedule sofa deliveries for the next day
    • Handle rescheduled deliveries

    Customer engagement

    • Assist customers in case of queries such as replacement of the product or assistance with the product guarantee
    • Follow up leads sent to the factory for sales
    • Handle walk-in customers up to the point your supervisor should take up.
    • Contribute to spreading Moko smiles

    Supply Chain Officer

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    Moko is looking for an individual with an eye for details who is eager to cultivate good relationships with suppliers. The Supply Chain Officer will work closely with various teams to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing and inventory management while maintaining high standards of integrity and accountability. The ideal candidate will support organization-wide efforts in strategic sourcing and relationship building. 

    Your main responsibilities will include: 

    • Overseeing procurement of stock keeping units (SKUs) and monitoring delivery dates
    • Managing inventory levels for SKU items and ensuring optimal inventory levels at all times
    • Sourcing for suppliers, forecasting price trends and negotiating for discounts and/or better terms
    • Processing all paperwork relevant to the purchasing of goods
    • Expediting delivery of procured goods and services
    • Supporting in sourcing research for cross-functional projects
    • Generating relevant reports for purchasing analysis
    • Ensuring compliance to Procurement law/Company purchasing guidelines and systems
    • Ensuring compliance with different statutory legislation
    • Ensuring that payments are initiated for delivered goods and services which have no issues and supporting in reconciliation of purchase transactions
    • Building strong and long-term relationships with key suppliers
    • Ensuring continuous improvement to structures and systems within your area of responsibility
