    Procurement Officer

    OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION

    • We are seeking for detail-oriented, thorough, and organized procurement person to oversee purchases and develop new contracts. He will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient motor vehicle body parts for our busy Auto body repair shop. He will follow procurement procedures, maintain an updated list of current and incoming inventory, and be responsible for approving purchases

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
    • Create estimates
    • Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
    • Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
    • Supply parts in good time and at the requisite price.
    • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
    • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options

    Security Officer

    Overview of the Position

    • Our client in the education Industry in Nairobi County is urgently looking to recruit a competent Security Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the security of the entire premises and people; including staff, learners and visitors. Preventing break-ins and forced entry and sifting in of unauthorized persons, who want to access the school compound at any one point during the day or night. Their duties include monitoring the premises, responding to emergency situations and keeping track of all incidents on-site.

    Requirements

    • Patrol the premises and monitor the institution to ensure safety.
    • Guard the entire property, students, staff, and all persons in the institution against trespassers, damage, theft, or accidents whether on the day or the night shift
    • Monitor and inspect goods or services being delivered to the institution.
    • Record and sign in employees and visitors into their respective books after confirming the purpose of the visit and signing them out as they leave the premises.
    • Allocate parking space for vehicles, motorbikes, and bicycles per the parking policy.
    • Scan the internal staff bags or belongings as they exit the school and report or question any discrepancy from the norm.
    • Submit daily shift reports on the day/night occurrences.
    • Contact relevant authorities to deal with unlawful or irregular activities e.g., police, fire brigade, and ambulance 
    • Inspect the buildings in the school during patrol, water spillages, unlocked rooms/offices, and switches accordingly whether day or during the night

    Qualifications

    • Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience as a SecurityOfficer or an equivalent position in a reputable organization;
    • NYS Training 
    • Certificate in First Aid will be an added advantage;

    Pastry Chef

    Overview of the Position

    • Our client in the hospitality/Catering industry is looking to hire a Pastry Chef. They will be responsible for supporting the Head of Pastry in a busy restaurant kitchen in delivering consistently high-quality pastries. They will be tasked to ensure there are high standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the creation of dessert menus to maximise profits and minimise loss.
    • Monitors customer satisfaction.
    • Create and prepare desserts in accordance with the existent menus;
    • Develop new ideas for the menus
    • Decorate cakes and baked goods according to requirements;
    • Plate desserts for serving;
    • Create cheese plateaus to complement a meal;
    • Creates baked goods for specific diets (gluten free, sugar free, diabetes-friendly, etc.);
    • Inspect the quality of the ingredients and measure them for specific recipes;
    • Ensure that the kitchen equipment is in good conditions and meets all requirements;
    • Organises and conducts tasting sessions for the waiting staff and for potential clients when the situation requires it;
    • Cleans the equipment and utensils and maintains the kitchen is clean and in good order for proper functioning.
    • Creation of recipes and the preparation of advanced items
    • Efficiency and production of consistent, quality pastries.
    • Maintaining or raising the profit margins on pastry items
    • Estimate food consumption and requisition for production items
    • Standardise production recipes to ensure consistent quality
    • Establish presentation technique and quality standards
    • Assess quality control and adhere to hotels service standards.

    Relevant Qualifications 

    • A minimum of a Diploma in Food Production
    • Diploma/certificate in pastry production preferred.
    • A grasp of profit margins
    • Possess current food handler’s certificate.
    • 2+years’ experience in pastry production and hospitality arena or 2+ year working experience commercial food preparation background.
    • Well-versed in preparing food items consistently while adhering to recipe standards
    • Track record of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Self-motivated and takes own initiative.
    •  Excellent communication skills.

    Massage & Beauty Therapist

    Overview of the Position

    • Our client, in the Spa and Fitness Industry located in Gateway Mall, Syokimau, is seeking to recruit candidate who will Perform facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing as well as all body treatments such as massage, scrubs, and wraps in a safe and professional manner to Guests.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver a variety of spa services (body treatments, massages, facials, waxing and manicure/pedicure) in a safe and comfortable manner.
    • Perform all spa treatments on members and Guests using safe and professional techniques and in a comfortable, and hygienic manner.
    • Maintain an ample inventory of all products necessary to perform all facials and waxing services including skin care products, cotton, distilled water, warm wax, waxing sticks, bowls, towels, sheets, blankets, plastic bags, and face cloths, etc. Prepare kits as required.
    • Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility.
    • Assist in any and all ways in the beauty store when not scheduled to perform aesthetic services. This assistance is to include performing manicure/pedicure services, selling and restocking professional retail skin care products.
    • Constantly maintain up-to-date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the skin care products or procedures used.
    • Answer all questions related to services performed and products used.
    • Be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments after completing each service and shift. Courteously interact and answer all facility-related questions with Members and Guests.
    • Assist in the co‑ordination of spa treatments with other spa programs.
    • Serve as catalyst to promote spa services to Members and Fitness Guests.

    Requirements

    • A Relevant Certificate or Diploma.
    • With 2-3 years of experience especially in Holistic Massage, Facials, Manicure and Pedicure etc. Having worked in Spa is an added advantage.
    • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous always. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional customer service skills.
    • Highly responsible & reliable.
