About the Role
We are looking for an individual with 1+ years of work experience in sales and marketing. They should have experience in customer service and previous experience managing inventory.
Responsibilities
Transactions
- Complete sales transactions
- Verify what product a client wants to purchase;
- Explain available payment options available to clients - cash, Layaway or credit options;
- Confirm clients recruited through the Field officer;
- Advise the farmer on how to complete the transaction;
- Record transactions.
Marketing and Sales
- Make recommendations to clients based on their specific needs;
- Explain the benefits of various products;
- Suggest products for clients to purchase.
Customer service
- Provide all clients with quality customer service - aim for a positive and lasting impression;
- Answer customer questions and respond promptly to customer complaints;
- Manage customer expectations in resolving complaints e.g., crop health or germination issues;
- Support clients in carrying products from duka.
Inventory management & Record keeping
- Support duka officers to record cash or credit transactions;
- Conduct inventory counts, and support inventory deliveries.
- Organize the stock in the stock room and display area;
- Offload stock during delivery;
- Bring products to the farmer.
Innovation and process improvement
- Listen to customer feedback and recommend changes to the shop based on that feedback;
- Support market price research.
Support other Duka Management
- Attend the weekly/bi-weekly virtual team meetings/training;
- Monitor the Duka's foot traffic and visitors to ensure theft does not take place
- Clean Duka's interior and exterior structure daily.
- Any other duties related to One Acre Fund daily activities as may be assigned to you by your supervisor.

- Listen to customer feedback and recommend changes to the shop based on that feedback
- Identify ways that we could improve the products/services offered by the shop
Management
- Manage Deputy Duka Officer and casuals who will support in daily tasks
- Perform additional tasks as requested by the manager.
Qualifications

- Customer service experience
- Management experience.
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili
