    Payroll Specialist

    MAIN JOB PURPOSE

    To manage, supervise and deliver the country payroll within the given timelines.

    JOB SUMMARY

    • To process accurate and timely payroll for country remittance of data to bank through accounts payable
    • Executes payroll accounting and reconciliation
    • Delivers payroll services by managing payroll personnel
    • Generates monthly reports and SLAs for payroll
    • Monitors payroll processes to meet legal compliance and COBP requirements
    • Provides payroll KPIs reports and data as required
    • Manages processing of statutory deductions and remittance of data to finance for payments to institutions and retirees
    • Participates in pension cycle briefs – support preparations for pension annual general meetings and cascades to country
    • To input to payroll systems against new reward cycle, new collective Bargaining agreement, Time and Attendance data / payment related calculations for payroll accuracy
    • To process statutory deductions report and remit to finance for pay-outs i.e. tax, National Social Security, Pension, Co-operatives

    Your Role

    Your Main Responsibilities: -

    • Single point of contact for R&D in East and Southern Africa for landing innovations, renovations and value improvement projects
    • Providing technical local input for risk assessments into innovation and non-innovation led projects
    • Input of local needs into BU led projects (eg. distribution/usage conditions, all types of packaging requirements including primary, secondary and tertiary packaging material would need to be given with local consumer needs).
    • Specifications writing (product and packaging) and master data support
    • Supporting implementation of all type of projects for East Africa (e.g. conducting plant trials, 1st production sample approval, link to QA and care line)
    • Knowledge based selling, to activate our products with the trade (in co-operation with the extended regional/global R&D teams). Gives support to marketing in Brand activations, promotions, demonstrations.
    • Benchmarking of in market / competitor products
    • Carry out sensory evaluation, product shelf life stability and support transit trials.
    • Liaise with raw and packaging material suppliers for new / alternate raw or packaging material development
    • Together with local QA, you are active in complaint Management through monitoring issues and recommending/implementing corrective action and supports Care line.
    • Propose improvements in Ways of Working, processes, methods, systems.

    Skills, experience and qualifications: -

    • Master or Bachelor Degree in Food technology or related Science degree
    • 2 year’s and above work experience

    Bcs-Research & Development Manager Africa

    Your Role

    Your Main Responsibilities: -

    • Responsible for the Africa BU R&D team as functional lead and forming part of the Africa BU leadership team.
    • First point of contact for R&D in Africa and business partner to the Africa BU leadership.

    Your Role

    Your Main Responsibilities: -

    • Ensuring that the production lines operate efficiently, safely, and manufacture a high-quality product.
    • Engaging manufacturing personnel in terms of leading, coaching, and promoting the values of the business.  All Supervisors are mindful of what a workplace culture is and how to maintain it in a positive manner.

    • Understanding the factory’s financial situation and use training in World Class Manufacturing methodologies and processes to drive the semi-autonomous team’s work to counter losses and eradicate waste. They lead project work to support factory initiatives. 
    • Provide a common standard of communication and engagement across the factory and  liase closely with the core factory functions, including Manufacturing, HR, Quality and Safety to achieve this.

     Skills, experience and qualifications: -

    • A Bachelor’s degree is required with at least 2 years of relevant experience in leading and developing a team. 
    • Must be proficient in utilizing MS Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).   
    • A good technical understanding of manufacturing, general or chemical engineering or food technology is highly preferred.  
    • The role is a critical front line leader in the plant, and will be expected to have strong interpersonal skills for their own direct reports, as well as the ability to work laterally with other departments. 
    • You will need to work cross functionally within the factory to drive plant wide results. 
    • Team leadership and team engagement is vital to the success of this role.

    Bcs-Engineering Specialist

    Your Role

    Your Main Responsibilities: -

    • Supervise the Maintenance function and ensure that maintenance assignments are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. Perform audits of in-process and closed work orders. Supervisor maintenance staff.
    • Set-up, maintain and be responsible for preventative maintenance systems, inspection routines, job scheduling, training and identification of plant improvement plans for improved efficiencies and yield.

    Skills, experience and qualifications: -

    • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Engineering Technology, Electronic Instrumentation, Mechanical Engineering or the like. Strong leadership skills.
    • Relevant experience in the food industry with minimum of five (5) years of technical experience dealing with: Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Process, Technical Guidance & Development of the Maintenance Work Force.
    • Experience with spray drying process or dry powder handling is a plus.
    • Must have knowledge of Food Safety Principles, GMP's, EPA & OSHA Requirements.
