Are you experienced in administration and customer service? Are you a great in-person communicator? Do you care deeply about animal welfare and looking for a role that allows you to have daily contact with animals? Work with us!!
Our Rehoming Officer is KSPCA's matchmaker-in-chief, the person who gets to make the "happily ever after" happen.
Your job is to help people make the right choice when adopting an animal - both to fit their circumstances, and also to make sure the animal finds a happy, healthy home.
This is a serious responsibility. You need to be someone who can really understand the needs of people and animals.
You will need have strong communication skills and be a friendly but firm advocate for ethical rehoming and the needs of animals.
You will need to be able to deal with many different kinds of people, and to be able to say no when you need to.
You have to be very well organised and able to coordinate a lot of people and information.
You likely have experience of customer service and must be a clear communicator in both English and Kiswahili, You must be very well organised with attention to detail. Familiarity with case management systems is an advantage.

Our welfare team assistants are on the frontline ensuring that animal welfare case reports are handled efficiently, from receiving reports to dispatching officers and maintaining case records.
As the first point of contact for the public, you will need to remain professional and calm while gathering crucial information, ensuring every case is recorded accurately, and following up as needed. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, correspondence, and supporting investigations or vaccination campaigns.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills in both English and Kiswahili, the ability to stay calm in emergency situations, and excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with case management systems is advantage.
