Top Accountabilities
Manage the local Materials Scheduling process

• Ensure continuous replenishment of raw materials for the brewing and packaging process at supply locations in scope.
• Manage the local purchase order/scheduling agreement process to ensure MRP signal is accurate and purchase orders are in place to facilitate material receipt and supplier payment.
• Ensure efficient communication between Material planning team in COE, local Production Scheduling, local operations and Procurement teams
• Communicate to appropriate stakeholders any risks to short and medium term schedule material for in scope production locations.
• Support process improvement through interpretation of performance analytics.
• Ensure an ongoing tracking of relevant materials supply chain metrics.
• Perform root cause and trend analysis on issues relating to material supply and supplier performance.
• Drive standardization and automation of systems and processes:
• Ensure local Material scheduling systems and processes in place are aligned to global supply planning codification strategy and standards.
• Ensure effective ways of working with Data, CoE and local production/technical teams to ensure BOM accuracy.
• Ensure that all master data pertaining to MRP (e.g., BOMs, recipes, lead-times, batch sizes etc) is maintained in the appropriate information systems (e.g. SAP, ECC6, APO).
• Implement/contribute to process improvements across the wider CoE.

Qualifications and Experience Required:
Skills and Capabilities

• Knowledge of MPS/MRP and DRP methodology
• Experience in distribution / warehousing / scheduling
• Understanding and experience in plant operations.
• Experience within supply chain optimization platforms (ERP / master data, time-phased replenishment planning systems).
• Detailed understanding of end-to-end supply chain operational processes within Diageo e.g. DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and customer service.
• Influencing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Good communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
• Customer centric mind set.
• High degree of quantitative and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

Experience

• +5 years in Material planning and/or procurement experience in CPG (Materials Management, Materials Planning)
• Additionally, some wider cross functional experience and beverage materials categories preferable. E.g. procurement, packaging, raw materials.
• Significant line management experience required.
• Experience with advanced planning software with Supply Planning (SAP APO would be an advantage).

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, engineering, or business degree.
• APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.

• The role is to support the organisation in saving Costs on Mop up by aligning with the distributors to enhance on 1:1 return of both barrels and glass empties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect data every morning from the distributors for keg physical openings, i.e. physicals empties, regular, dark, purchases and returned empties to our client.
• Collect data every morning from distributors for beer physical openings i.e. Beer stocks and empties.
• Prepare mop up plan to ensure return of keg barrels from distributors to our client.
• Prepare Glass Empties Mop up Opportunity to guide return of glass empties from Distributors to our client.
• Prepare keg Barrels status that enhances on 1:1 shipment /returnable.
• Prepare glass empties tracker. Outline trucks that returned NIL from the distributors with shipments.
• Working closely with the distributors and transport team to ensure no trucks leaves the distributor NIL, if so give reasons why.
• Prepare and update Keg days cover to guide shipment to the distributors.
• Prepare daily mop up status at 12pm 3pm & 5pm.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• A Bachelor’s Degree
• SAP knowledge
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience of formalised performance management and reporting
• Good communication skills
• Good Customer relation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To assist in coordinating between vessel and shore, suppliers, sub-contractors and maintain timely and cost-effective logistic arrangements
• Make arrangements of spare parts, services, stores and Lube Oils
• Issue purchase orders, process invoices and update related records and details
• Support in monitoring vessel budget and preparing variance reports
• Support SI for preparing vessel annual reports, docking reports and other reports as required
• Monitor Certificate and class survey status, and circulate report
• Dispatch and follow up of vessel mail and courier delivery for documents and certificates
• Extract report for Fleet Monitor / Fleet Performance and circulate
• Other support duties as required by  Managers
• Maintaining record for the quotation/price comparison and other correspondence
• Maintain & update vendor’s information / details
• Support in preparation of reports

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum  Diploma, in Maritime studies
• Experience in similar job scope and working in a shipping company
• Able to communicate effectively and is a team player
