    Chemist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure adherence to HSEQ standards and relevant statutory requirements by enforcing their application.
    • Compile and circulate monthly HSSEQ indicators.
    • Organise and lead the emergency crew team effectively.
    • Ensure prompt recording and resolution of customer complaints at the laboratory.

    • Follow up purchase requisitions to ensure timely generation of local purchase orders.
    • Participate in internal and external laboratory audits.
    • Ensure all laboratory systems are kept in a safe, efficient and serviceable state by maintaining an active inventory, preventive maintenance schedule and prompt repairs system.
    • Ensure effective and efficient document and records control in laboratory activities by
    • Documenting transactions, linking records to the central database, maintaining a document inventory and register, and enabling retention, retrieval and archiving of laboratory information.
    • Ensure availability, accountability and loss control of laboratory consumables by checking and Optimising stock levels, checking stock movements and preparing reorder schedules for procurement.
    • Prepare and submit monthly laboratory invoicing
    • Manage laboratory activity in an environment where samples may be received irregularly and sometimes with spillages.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science in Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry, or equivalent from a recognized university.
    • Three years hands-on experience in a busy processing plant or laboratory is desirable, with emphasis on analytical skills and safety practices.
    • Conversant with application of computer packages in data processing, analysis and reporting.

    LPG Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure that all activities and operations within the LPG plant are in line with company directives and company rules.
    • Coordinate and monitor implementation of development programmes ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001.
    • Carry out hazard identification and risk analysis for the site and tasks performed, develop safety barriers and ensure integrity and reliability of facility equipment.
    • With guidance from the Plant Manager, manage budgets for the plant, monitor and control staff working conditions and ensure alignment with HR requirements.
    • Implement projects and maintenance plans and supervise all projects for each fiscal year.
    • Manage plant operations to ensure reliability and efficiency, including optimisation of LPG receipts ex-vessels.
    • Match stocks held in LPG plants with market demand in liaison with the Plant Manager, Marketing, Planning and Supply teams.
    • Develop and implement stock controls for Plant, accurately account for stock movements and provide daily, decadal and monthly information on LPG bulk stocks and cylinder float.
    • Action variances between SAP and physical operations.
    • Regularly review and improve distribution plans and provide efficient and cost-effective plans from time to time.
    • Ensure customer orders are safely and timely serviced in liaison with the Customer Care team.
    • Oversee 24-hour high-risk operations involving marine LPG receipts.
    • Manage risks related to storage operations and transit, including fraud and pilferage risks.
    • Liaise across external stakeholders, including competitors and government agencies while managing safety risks related to hazardous products handled.

    Requirements

    • BSc Degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
    • 3 to 4 years of experience in a hydrocarbon’s depot environment.
    • Good customer care skills.

    Tank Farm Supervisor

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute product reception operations by pipeline into terminal storage tanks.
    • Execute vessel receipts, pump-overs and back-loading operations in accordance with approved standard operating procedures.
    • Receive and verify Notices of Intention and match nominated quantities prior to receipt.
    • Ascertain product quality through load port certificates and pre-discharge quality certificates.
    • Witness accurate tank initialisation and finalisation to minimise product losses.
    • Investigate and provide timely explanations for abnormal pipeline transfer losses and gains.
    • Ensure compliance with the Terminal Operations Manual, HSSEQ policies and requirements.
    • Monitor product arrival rates and ensure nil product spillage.
    • Ensure proper line-up of reception lines to prevent contamination and spills.
    • Ensure discharge instructions are approved before vessel discharge operations commence.
    • Ensure vessels are vetted in accordance with HSSEQ requirements.
    • Conduct pre-discharge risk assessments before product receipt.
    • Conduct integrity checks on pipelines, interceptors, valves, flange joints, pumps and tanks.
    • Monitor storage tank loss/gain performance and implement improvement measures.
    • Investigate abnormal tank performance and stock variations.
    • Ensure metrology equipment is calibrated and records maintained.
    • Support stock audits and respond to stock variation queries.
    • Administer quality control activities including product sampling and testing with nominated surveyors.
    • Maintain records of all quality certificates from independent testing companies.
    • Ensure compliance with product acceptance and rejection criteria.
    • Execute efficient loading operations to maximise terminal throughput.
    • Monitor truck cycle times and minimise loading delays.
    • Coordinate truck sealing activities with security and sealing operators.
    • Ensure no shortages or excess deliveries to customers.
    • Minimise operating losses through calibration and close monitoring of product movements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Civil Engineering
    • Minimum three years’ experience in petroleum products movement operations within a busy marine environment.
    • Accurate knowledge of HSE practices in a petroleum operations environment.

    Maintenance Assistant

    Key Responsibilities

    • Draw up a maintenance schedule for equipment as per the quality and operations manual.
    • Confirm scheduled maintenance is carried out as planned to achieve full compliance.
    • Maintain critical spares as per quality and operations requirements to support scheduled

    • Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment according to standards.

    Key Responsibilities

     Drive Insurance Sales;

    • Promote and sell bancassurance products, including life, general, medical, and asset insurance.
