    Technician

    Roles

    • General maintenance and repairs of all electrical faults
    • Carry out installation as required
    • Undertake plumbing repairs
    • Regular service and repair of drainage pumps in the basement
    • Monitor operation and regular repair of power factor correction unit installed at the main power intake at the lower basement
    • Repair and service of all sliding aluminum windows in Utalii House and replacement of window rollers with those that are worn out
    • Monitor operation of water pump and booster pumps in Utalii House and repair as is necessary

    Technician

    • Diploma in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a recognized institution of tertiary education
    • Craft Certificate or higher in Plumbing is desirable
    • Working knowledge in Carpentry
    • 5 years experience in similar position
    • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
    • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
    • Good physical condition and with a willingness to work overtime
    • High integrity and attention to detail

    HR & Administration Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as functional lead for Corporation-wide talent planning and performance management.
    • Develop and implement HR Strategies that create a high performance organizational culture.
    • Develop and implement human resources and administration policies, plans and budgets.
    • Develop and co-ordinate the implementation of staff induction and on-the-job orientation programmes.
    • Develop and implement staff motivation and retention initiatives to ensure staff are highly engaged.
    • Conduct manpower planning by involving department heads in determining staff requirements.
    • Conduct and assess training needs analysis and baseline attitude surveys in order to design and implement relevant training programmes aimed at building capacity by equipping staff with the necessary knowledge, skills and behaviour in line with the strategic plan
    • Coordinate all recruitment and selection activities.
    • Handle grievances and implement disciplinary procedures.
    • Implement an effective human resource management information system.

    Job Competencies

    • Master’s degree in Organizational Development or HR Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Business Administration, HR or other relevant field from a recognized institution.
    • Professional qualification in human resource management, CHRP or Diploma.
    • Membership to IHRM
    • At least 6 years’ relevant experience with at least 2 years at Management level.
    • Conversant with labour laws.
    • Knowledge of HRIMS.

    • Leadership and strategic thinking skills
    • Counseling skills and of good ethical conduct
    • Good negotiation, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

    ICT Officer

    Key Responsibilities for the Chief ICT Officer Job

    • Participate in TFC’s strategic planning process and advise the IT Steering Committee and the Board of Directors on ICT policy and strategy issues affecting the tourism sector
    • Develop and implement TFC’s ICT strategy in consultation with the Board Committee responsible for ICT
    • Oversee development and implementation TFC’s ICT policy
    • Develop, manage and monitor the ICT budgets in line with the overall TFC’s goals and objectives
    • Guide and coordinate all ICT projects related to selection, acquisition, development and installation of major information systems for TFC while managing all ICT vendor relationships
    • Ensure that design and selection of ICT applications and infrastructure supports the strategic objectives of TFC
    • Champion any system changes and effectively manage the implementation of new initiatives
    • Responsible for TFC’s information security by developing and overseeing the implementation of TFC systems security strategies, policies and procedures for confidentiality, integrity and availability of data
    • Ensure that TFC’s disaster recovery system is fully operational at all times for business continuity
    • Ensure that all information systems network and infrastructure operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements
    • Develop service level agreements between ICT and the business and ensure the department meets objectives of the performance contract and cascaded individual performance goals
    • Liaise with the all departments to continuously identify new ICT requirements
    • Act as a change manager when defining and executing change requirements
    • Coach, mentor, develop and provide leadership to the ICT team to ensure high performance and effective succession planning in the department.

    Chief ICT Officer Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related field.
    • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or other related field.
    • Any ICT specialized certification such as MCSE, CISA, CISA, IC3, CCNP, OCP, A+, CISSP, CISCO etc.
    • At least 6 years’ experience with 3 years in a managerial position.
    • Membership to a professional body.
    • Conversant with ERP, ICT Infrastructure systems
    • Strong Leadership and Management skills
    • Ability to design long term plans
    • Analytical and presentation skills
    • Ability to interpret long term plans, programs and budgets developed at Senior Management Level
    • Project Management skills
    • Ability to develop plans, programs, SOPS and coordination of workflows
    • Strategic Management skills

    PR & Communications Officer

    Reporting to the Managing Director the Chief Public Relations & Communications officer will handle all outgoing communication for purposes of maintaining a good Corporate Image and showcase the Corporations Brand Identity to stakeholders, the General Public and to International partners

    Key Responsibilities for the Public Relations & Communications Officer Job

    • Prepare communication strategic plan and work plans for the department.
    • Develop communication and CSR policies and share with stakeholders.
    • Edit and write accurate, newsworthy and compelling content that will include a mix of TFC news, analysis, features, expert interviews, videos and photo essays;
    • Write punchy, focused headlines, straplines and stand firsts;
    • Assist with the production of reports and publications;
    • Manage internal communication notices and produce external communications
    • Support the Corporation’s corporate social responsibility;
    • Assist in producing publicity brochures, handouts, leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programs to enhance the Corporation’s image internally and externally
    • Liaise with selected printing companies in producing copies of all press releases or editorial material
    • Manage the database for the public relations unit.
    • Prepare presentations and speeches

    Public Relations & Communications Officer Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations or Mass Communication or Journalism
    • Master’s degree
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism, Communication, PR, International Relations
    • Member of Public Relations Society of Kenya.
    • At least 6 years public relations experience and 2 years at Supervisory level
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
