    Sales Manager - Hotel

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving room sales, events, and corporate business, building strong client relationships, and promoting the hotel’s products and services to achieve revenue targets.

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify, develop, and maintain corporate, travel agent, and walk-in clientele to increase hotel revenue.
    • Promote and sell hotel products including accommodation, conferencing, events, food and beverage services.
    • Conduct sales calls, site inspections, and client visits to prospective and existing customers.
    • Prepare and follow up on quotations, contracts, and proposals in line with hotel pricing policies.
    • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
    • Maintain accurate client records, sales reports, and forecasts.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, tour operators, and event planners.
    • Attend networking events, trade fairs, and promotional activities as required.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
    • Collaborate with operations, reservations, and finance teams to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Handle client inquiries and complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, brand standards, and ethical sales practices.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

    Academic Qualifications

    • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Professional Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in hotel sales, hospitality sales, or a similar role.
    • Proven experience in corporate sales, events, or conferencing is an added advantage.

    Skills and Competencies

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Customer-focused with a strong service orientation
    • Ability to work independently and meet targets
    • Good knowledge of hotel operations and revenue streams
    • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel PMS systems

    REMUNERATION / SALARY PACKAGE

    • Gross Salary: KES 70,000 – 100,000 per month
    • Salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and performance
    • Attractive commission or incentive structure based on achieved sales targets

    Boiler Sales Executive

    About the Role

    The Sales Officer – Boilers, Steam Division will play a key role in driving B2B sales growth within the renewable energy and industrial steam solutions sector. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise to guide customers in selecting the most effective boiler and steam system solutions for their needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Set and achieve B2B boiler sales and conversion goals.
    • Generate high-quality leads, follow up with prospects, negotiate deals, and close sales.
    • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products and services to clients.
    • Collaborate with customers and engineers to determine system requirements and suitable solutions.
    • Acquire new customers through strategic outreach and competitive conversions.
    • Collect and analyze client feedback to inform sales and marketing strategies.
    • Identify areas for improvement and communicate insights and solutions to management.
    • Support and train team members on technical sales and company services.Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.

    Requirements

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (MBA is an added advantage).
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in sales engineering, preferably within the renewable energy or industrial equipment sector.
    • Strong understanding of industrial steam boilers and steam generation systems.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
    • Ability to simplify complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
    • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and teamwork capabilities.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
