    Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant- Dadaab

    • Monitoring plans
    • Helps develop project monitoring plans and adapt and roll out monitoring tools to meet project and programme requirements. Helps design databases in coordination with the Monitoring and Evaluation ocer and Project Manager
    • Checks that collection tools are consistent with M&E plans, working in coordination with the M&E Ocer while reporting any technical or methodological issues.
    • Monitoring activities
    • If necessary, assists the Project Manager and MEAL ocer collect data identied in the M&E plan.
    • Supervises and/or supports data collection activities in the eld while respecting ethical and methodological standards.
    • If necessary, helps enter monitoring data provided by project teams using the appropriate tools.
    • Informs the Project Manager and/or MEAL ocer of any unmet targets, contextual changes (risks and opportunities) and negative eects on beneciaries.
    • Helps manage and organise M&E information while ensuring that condential data is protected, in coordination with the information management (IM) team if necessary.
    • Helps recruit, train and supervise research assistants involved in occasional data collection activities.
    • Supervision of research assistants.
    • Provides Key information to specic program department to support Program activities
    • Ensure Data quality checking of data collection tools and data collected.
    • To perform Activity monitoring activities and generate reports
    • Create a monthly Data Dashboard and present to the project team to inform programming
    • Participate in surveys as per donor requirements
    • To Provide coordinated training to Tdh Program sta and Community on the CPIMS tools and Tdh Tools and follow up on proper implementation
    • Conduct activity monitoring of activities and generating reports of the same.
    • To submit a monthly report on the Data and support programming activities
    • Communication and reporting
    • Helps the Project Leader and/ MEAL Ocer develop presentations adapted to dierent target audiences. Provides the
    • M&E information required to write reports for use by Tdh and by donors, working with the IM team if necessary.
    • Evaluation
    • Supports the internal and external evaluation process (by providing monitoring data, logistical support and assistance in monitoring the results of evaluations).
    • Security and child safety
    • Understands and applies security policies, the Child Safeguarding Policy and fraud prevention policies.
    • Competencies: This position requires personal, social and leadership competencies (PSLC) and technical and methodological competencies (TMC)

    • Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative collection methods in the humanitarian aid and development sector
    • Command of IT tools and experience in using databases
    • Is Knowledgeable on the CPIMS+/ PRIMERO as well as any other child protection information management systems.
    • Ideally, experience with some or all of the following tools: Advanced Excel (including pivot tables), CPIMS, SPSS, ODK/KoBo toolbox, Ona, etc.
    • M & E Experience of at-least 1 year in non-governmental organization Experience working in Refugee set up
    • BA Degree in Project Management, Social Sciences or Information management
    • Certicate in M& E from a reputable institution.
    • Knowledge in Somali Language is preferred

    Re-advertisement- Executive Assistant-Child Rights and Business (Internship)

    The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Global Child Rights and Business Advisor based in Nairobi, Kenya – including managing his schedules, coordinating meetings, taking notes, handling correspondence, writing brieng notes, contributing to writing reports and other administrative support.

    Specic Responsibilities

    • Supporting strategic planning of the Advisors’ agenda and eective management of his emails and overall correspondence.
    • Assisting in conducting research, gathering data, and preparing accurate reports as required by the Advisor.
    • Serving as a liaison between the Advisor and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
    • Managing and maintaining the Advisors calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
    • Preparing, reviewing, and editing documents, reports, and presentations for the Advisor.
    • Screening and prioritizing incoming communications, including emails, phone calls, and correspondence, and handle or redirect as appropriate.
    • Coordinating executive meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes with a high level of accuracy and following up on action items.
    • Planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of domestic and international travel for the Advisor, colleagues and other associates or partners as required including ights, accommodation, ground transportation, and itineraries.
    • Preparing detailed travel itineraries and provide the Advisor with all necessary documentation, including visas, passports, and meeting materials in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring that all travel arrangements are cost-eective, time-ecient, and aligned with the Advisor’s preferences and schedule.
    • Anticipating and resolving any travel-related issues, including changes to schedules or accommodations, in a proactive and ecient manner.
    • Maintaining accurate records of travel expenses and ensuring timely submission of expense reports.

    Minimum Qualications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related eld.
    • Minimum of one years experience as an Executive Assistant to a member of the senior management team.
    • Experience in corporate governance is a plus.
    • Knowledge in child protection/human rights, corporate social sustainability, and agricultural supply chains would be an added advantage.

    Project Assistant (MEAL) -Kiambu

    • Facilitate learning sessions and document lessons, success stories, and best practices from the project’s activities to inform adaptive programming, helping the team to adjust approaches based on what works and what does not.
    • Develop and maintain stakeholder feedback mechanisms, ensuring that there are accessible and child-friendly ways for children and other stakeholders to provide feedback on the project.
    • Monitor project progress against predened indicators, updating accountability frameworks as necessary and ensure that the project remains transparent, accountable, and responsive to its beneciaries, particularly children.
    • Support capacity-building for children and stakeholders to actively participate in learning and accountability activities by providing training and guidance to children and community members.

    Skills

    • Proven experience as a project assistant or in a similar role: Demonstrated experience supporting the management, coordination, and execution of projects, with a focus on M&E activities, particularly in child rights or related sectors.
    • Knowledge of project management and M&E principles: Understanding of project lifecycle management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting techniques, ensuring that project progress is eectively tracked and evaluated against established objectives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Strong ability to convey information clearly and eectively to a wide range of audiences, including stakeholders, donors, and community members, and to build positive relationships with internal and external partners.
    • Familiarity with participatory research methods Experience or knowledge in implementing child-friendly, participatory research methods (e.g., mapping, storytelling, focus group discussions, interviews) and understanding the childcentred CLARISSA research approach is a plus.
    • Discipline, precision, transparency, and intellectual honesty: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to ensuring data integrity, ethical practices, and accountability in all M&E activities.
    • Experience working with child protection projects: Prior experience working in child protection or child rights-focused initiatives, with an understanding of the issues aecting children in various contexts, including the ability to apply child safeguarding principles.
    • Ideally, experience with the following tools:
    • Advanced Excel (including pivot tables): Advanced prociency in Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
    • CPIMS (Child Protection Information Management System), SPSS, ODK/KoBo Toolbox, Ona, or similar M&E tools:
    • Experience with these platforms for data collection, management, and analysis.
    • Knowledge of CPIMS+ and PRIMERO: Familiarity with child protection management systems such as CPIMS+ and PRIMERO, along with an understanding of how these systems integrate with monitoring and evaluation processes.
    • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities: Ability to focus on achieving project outcomes, overcome challenges, and think critically to resolve problems eciently while maintaining a focus on results and program objectives.
    • Familiarity with the Kiambu County environment: Understanding of the local context, challenges, and opportunities in Kiambu County, enabling the M&E Assistant to adapt M&E practices and tools eectively to the community's needs.

    Training/Qualications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Project Management, Development Studies, or a related eld:
    • A relevant academic background providing a strong foundation in research methodologies, data analysis, project management, and the understanding of development issues.

    Experience

    • Experience in developing and implementing monitoring tools in the child aid and business sectors:
    • Demonstrated experience in designing and utilizing monitoring tools to assess program impact, particularly in projects related to child rights and business operations.
    • Certication in M&E preferred: Formal certication in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) is highly valued
