    Personal Assistant

    GRADE KPC 5

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule the MD’s and Executive Team’s engagement and meetings including agenda
    • Oversee the work of clerical and other administrative employees in the MD’s office, as well as making sure that everything is in place for the office to function smoothly,
    • Providing communication liaison roles by coordinating the flow of information to members of the Executive Leadership team including summarizing reports and memos that are received before passing the information on to Executive Team or MD
    • Prepare information for internal and external distribution which include letters and memos, compiling data for reports, creating presentations, writing reports and speeches, and other information preparation duties
    • Undertake data analysis, so as to guide decision making by the MD and the Executive Team which include analysis of financial and other business data to create reports that provide the MD and the Executive with necessary insights for decision making;
    • Prepare and monitor the MD’s departmental budget, tracking monthly spending, variance analysis and reporting and supporting the MD in preparation of the annual departmental budgets;
    • Set up and manage both electronic and paper filing systems for the MD, as well as Executive Team meetings record-keeping requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics,Commerce, Social Sciences or equivalent from a recognized institution
    • Minimum of six (6) years relevant work experience
    • Proficiency in Computer applications including statistical package
    • Demonstrated competence in work performance and results

    Clinical Officer

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee the day to day running of the staff clinic while ensuring adherence to medical procedures and policies
    • Ensure that patients’ medical needs are correctly diagnosed and given the right prescriptions.
    • Examine and refer cases to hospitals for specialized medical management as appropriate.
    • Prepare specific medical and annual
    • Initiate investigations e.g. laboratory and radiological
    • Ensure that drugs are properly stored and used in a responsible and accountable

    Pharmaceutical Technologist

    Responsibilities

    • Dispense prescribed drugs/medicine by practitioners at the Company Staff Clinic and provide necessary information/advice to patients about drugs and usage
    • Provide periodic information on availability and stocks levels of various drugs to the Clinical
    • Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions
    • Maintain an inventory of prescriptions and all medications in the pharmacy in the SAP system
    • Respond to any questions and concerns about prescribed drugs, including questions regarding possible side effects or interactions among various drugs
    • Advice about the patient’s diet, exercise, or stress management in relation to prescription drugs
    • Maintain patient confidentiality in relation to the dispensed medications

    Qualifications

    • Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized Institution.
    • Minimum four (4) years’ experience.
    • Membership to a relevant professional body e.g. Kenya Pharmacy Association.
    • Registered with a valid license by Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
    • Proficiency in Computer applications

    Nursing Officer

    GRADE KPC 7

    Job specification 

    • Carry out nursing activities including attending to patients in the observation room, escorting patients in the ambulance etc.
    • Assist the Clinical Officer in carrying out the duties at the clinic. 
    • Monitor the health and progress of patients in response to drug therapy to ensure the safe and effective use of medication. 
    • Administer treatment in the Clinic as per instructions e.g. injections. 
    • Provide counseling on, family planning, HIV management and Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission (PMTCT) services. 
    • Offer maternal child health care services.
    • Participate in the prevention and treatment of endemic diseases 
    • Examine and refer complicated cases to Clinical Officers and approve referrals to hospitals for specializes medical management.
    • Provide emotional and psychological support and information to patients and their families 
    • Provide first aid, assist in routine medical examinations, give advice on health matters and maintain sickness and accident records 
    • Provide guidance to patients and families about treatment and care.  

    Person specification 

    • Diploma in Registered Community Health Nursing
    • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience.
    • Valid practicing license with Nursing Council of Kenya. 
    • Proficiency in computer applications. 
    • Demonstrated competence in work performance.

    • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations pertaining to the care of patients. 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information obtained in the course of work.
