    Catering Officer, KNH Othaya Hospital

    An Officer at this level will be responsible to Senior Catering Officer.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Coordinating of food production and service in the Hospital
    2. Ensuring daily and thorough cleaning of the kitchen and kitchen equipment
    3. Monitoring adherence to the hot and cold chain processes
    4. Ensuring meal production and service is done to meet the requirements in the service charter.
    5. Receiving food and non-food items as per LPO and schedule from the suppliers for use at the Main kitchen food production area in collaboration with other members of the receiving team,

    ICT Officer (Network & Infrastructure)

    JOB GROUP KNH 9 (2 POSTS)

    The ICT Officer (Network & Infrastructure administration) will be responsible for Analysis, design, installation, configuration, maintaining and repair of the network, server and application infrastructure components.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Design, setup and configure complex switching environments and complex wireless networks that support secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
    2. Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security appliances for access to vital mission critical applications
    3. Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls.
    4. Setup and maintain the LAN and its associated components (switches, structured cabling, power provisioning etc.).
    5. Install, configure, and maintain various types of hardware and software and monitoring the performance of servers at all times.
    6. Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS.
    7. Configure, manage, and implement various operating systems.
    8. Maintenance of both the wired & wireless network inclusive of performance, security, throughput and upgrades.
    9. Implement network upgrades by developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
    10. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
    11. Implementing effective maintenance of all hardware inclusive of enterprise  hardware such as servers, storage, switches, routers, and UPS’s.
    12. Troubleshooting of network hardware and software applications, IP Phones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.
    13. To ensure that all work and changes to infrastructure components are performed in such a way as to minimize disruptions to existing ICT services.
    14. To assist in keeping track of the Hospital’s infrastructure assets and ensure that the infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times.
    15. To ensure that technology is used, managed and supported in accordance with the Hospital’s standards, policies and procedures.
    16. Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the level of responsibility of this job role.

    Qualification and experience

    1. Bachelor’s degree in any of the following field: Computer science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    2. Relevant Networking and server certification e.g. CCNA, CCNP, MCP, MCSA etc.
    3. Knowledge of VOIP implementation and support
    4. Knowledge and understanding of Operating System fundamentals especially UNIX, Linux and Oracle Solaris.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Identifying funding opportunities
    2. Assisting with funding proposal writing processes
    3. Developing a fund generation and resource mobilization work plan and monitor implementation of the plan.
    4. Assisting in mobilizing non-financial resources from partners
    5. Maintain database donors and sub-grantees to facilitate tracking of partnerships and outreach to potential partners
    6. Organize engagement meetings with development partners to build strong relations and mobilize resources to support Hospital’s agenda and deliverables.

    Qualification and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Development, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences, International Relations, Public Administration and Business Administration or relevant field from the recognized University
    2. Evidence of proficiency in computer applications
    3. Fulfill the requirements of Chapter six (6) of the 2010 Kenya Constitution.
