    Senior Tax Controller

    Do you have a passion for numbers and a knack for navigating the complex world of taxes? Are you looking for a role where you can make a real impact? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

    As a Senior Tax Controller, you will be the guardian of our financial integrity, ensuring that we not only comply with tax regulations but also optimize our organization's tax position. Your role will be pivotal in preparing and reviewing tax returns, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic tax advice.

    Tax Compliance:

    • In this role, you will need to prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns, leaving no stone unturned when it comes to supporting documentation. You will proactively identify and address potential tax issues or risks to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Keeping yourself updated with changes in tax laws and regulations will be crucial, as you will need to advise on their effects and ensure timely implementation.

    Tax Planning:

    • As our Senior Tax Accountant, you will develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize our organization's tax position. You will offer expert advice on the tax implications of various business decisions, considering different structures and transactions. Collaboration is key, and you will need to seamlessly work with other teams to ensure a holistic approach to tax management.

    Transfer Pricing Management:

    • Expertly managing transfer pricing calculations, recharges, and policies will be part of your responsibilities. You will ensure strict compliance with transfer pricing regulations and international tax requirements. To stay ahead of the curve, you will conduct a thorough transfer pricing analysis.

    Documentation and Record Keeping:

    • Maintaining organized and up-to-date tax records will be essential, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks. You will prepare meticulous documentation for financial and tax audits and inquiries.

    To thrive in this role, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is required. Additionally, you should have 3-5 years of experience in tax.

    Deputy Regional Manager - Eastern Region

    Key Requirements

    • Managing a team of direct field sales agent, including recruitment
    • Overseeing and monitoring performance of M-KOPA’s field sales managers and sales executives.
    • Defining KPI’s across sales teams, developing operational performance reporting and supporting target achievement.
    • Implementing and monitoring incentive sales commission programs for sales agents and supervisors tied to key business objectives
    • Ensuring all sales agents and supervisors are fully trained on M-KOPA sales, methods and processes for customer onboarding and activations.
    • Ensuring all sales agents have required sales tools e.g. T-shirts and flyers
    • Support M-KOPA’s planning for sales operations and distribution including,
    • Closely monitoring sales forecasting across all channels.
    • Defining operational and territorial coverage plans for the sales force teams and pushing for continuous improvement.
    • Drive M-KOPA’s sales channel performance and sales data reporting and insights including;
    • Responsible for developing and submitting daily/weekly/monthly reports on sales
    • Tracking and analyzing sale-outs across all channels
    • Support sales development, performance, and intervention across channels.
    • Aligning sales goals and processes to ensure strong customer credit performance and repayment by onboarding quality sales and ensuring the sales teams adhere to agreed customer screening processes on activation.

    Incumbent Rquirements

    • Five (5) + years of experience in sales, preferably working in electronic device sales, FMCG or financial services with the capability for strategic decision making and demonstrated business acumen.
    • Passionate about our mission of upgrading life and making products more affordable and accessible. 
    • Inspiring teams to get the out of them and enjoy delighting customers with excellency in service delivery and execution. 
    • Proven ability to build and manage a network of field teams and regional representative and support functions in a comparable industry. 
    • Excellent project and stakeholder management skills to coordinate across internal teams and external partners, retailers. 
    • Highly motivated and have a strong sense of ownership. 
    • Visible, proactive and personally involved leader with excellent organizational, influencing and cross-cultural communication skills both verbal and written. 
    • Comfortable in a first moving environment with frequent change and a sense of urgency. 
    • High integrity and openness combined with a commitment to good governance. 
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in any related field
