    Lecturer in Accounting and Finance (Langata Campus)

    Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Head of Department, Accounting and Finance.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • To work with HODs to identify and select courses which he or she is qualified and competent to teach during a semester/trimester;
    • To teach a minimum of 10 units (two semesters) per academic year and to undertake extra teaching responsibilities as may be necessary;
    • To submit to the HOD new/revised course outlines for units allocated at least two weeks prior to commencement of a semester;
    • To ensure timeliness for appropriate reporting, entry and submission of evaluation and marks on time as per schedule;
    • To ensure regular and punctual attendance of classes using biometric readers to aid in time management and ensure the same with students;
    • Participate in curriculum development and review;
    • To ensure regular review of his/her courses in conformity with quality assurance reports and emerging international best practice;
    • To attend and effectively participate in Departmental, Faculty and University meetings and functions;
    • To actively participate in Department/Faculty/University community service activities;
    • To uphold the good image of the Faculty and the University in the manner in which he or she carries out his or her duties;
    • To be committed to continuous improvement of the Department and Faculty.
    • To perform any other official duties that may be assigned by the HOD, Dean and University Management.

    Minimum Qualifcations, Skills and Competences:

    • Must have a PhD or its equivalent in Accounting or Finance;
    • Should have evidence of administration experience;
    • Should be proficient in computer packages;
    • Must have at least three (3) years teaching experience at university level;
    • Must have published at least two articles in refereed journals or one university level textbook or two (2) book chapters.

    • Should be a person of integrity; morally upright and mature;

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh
    • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients
    • Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods
    • Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
    • Occasionally serve food
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
    • Handle and store ingredients and food
    • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
    • Cutting and washing raw foods, using appropriate tools and equipment;
    • Collaborating with the Officer in charge Catering and other Cooks to prepare meals and serve during appropriate hours;
    • Identification and reporting defects or problems concerning kitchen equipment, food supplies and other unusual conditions.
    • Preparation and cooking of a variety of food for meal service following standard practice and procedures;
    • Review of menus and assembling food supplies and equipment for daily food preparation; and
    • Setting up and preparing equipment for use in food preparation.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competences:

    • Served in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D+ (Plus) or its equivalent qualification;
    • Attended at least one (1) month formal course in Food Production from a recognized institution; and
    • Certificate in Food Production from a recognized institution.
    • Excellent organizational, analytical skills communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
    • Ability to guide, counsel and mentor staff and students.
    • Outstanding managerial and administrative capability.
    • Ability to build personal relationships.
    • He/she should be flexible and adaptable enough to work in a multicultural environment.

    Coordinator of Spiritual Activities

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • To offer catechetical formation and training to Students and Staff.
    • To discharge all the duties proper to a Sacristan.
    • To prepare and superintend all liturgical and spiritual activities not excluding those taking place on Weekends and Holidays.
    • To offer spiritual guidance, mentorship and accompaniment to Staff and Students.
    • To prepare the Mass Schedules.
    • To recruit students into Spiritual Movements
    • To ensure that all designated places for spiritual activities and liturgical celebrations are suitably prepared.
    • To work as a Curator and Steward of religious assets and items under the Chaplaincy Department.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

    Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Competences:

    • One has to be a Religious Sister professed for more than four (4) years.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or Catechesis or its equivalent.
    • Two (2) years working experience in relevant fields (as a Catechist, Sacristan, Counsellor etc.)
    • Provable administrative experience and tested organisational skills.
    • Demonstrate sound judgement on moral and ethical issues
    • Demonstrate proven ability to deal with confidential and sensitive issues.
    • The Applicant must have her Religious Community situated within one (1) mile radius from the Main Campus.
    • Be ready to work uninterruptedly for at least a one (1) Three year Contract save for unforeseeable natural cause.

    Duties And Responsibilities

    • Assisting in stock taking;
    • Replenishing cleaning materials and supplies;
