    New Markets Manager

    About The Role

    Lipa Later is growing, and we are currently looking to expand into new regions and markets. The holder of this position will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for designing and managing the process of scaling the organizations business presence to new regions.


    • Designing market strategies on new country development programs.
    • Performing feasibility studies inclusive of potential partnerships to ensure success of new markets including legal, local government regulations and business setup process.
    • Identifying new business opportunities with key industry stakeholders and negotiating advantageos partnerships.
    • Formulating and implementing new standards, procedures etc., relevant to the new market/country.
    • Implementing systems, procedures and strategies relevant to the new market/country
    • Perform competitor analysis, new partnerships negotiations; and other relevant stakeholder negotiations etc.
    • Build and manage teams in the new region(s).


    • You have at least 5 years experience working in business and strategic management or an entrepreneurial background. Experience working in different markets is an added advantage.
    • You have proven experience in developing new retail markets, including new countries, new business development, new brand/product development etc.
    • You posses sound financial management and strong analytical skills.
    • You are comfortable with regular travel to different locations and regions.
    • You have strong people management skills, and know how to get the best out of your team.
    • You are resourceful, and are capable of getting work done with limited experience.
    • You have past experience working in a multi-cultural team and have an appreciation of other cultures & values.
    • You are highly organized and excel at meeting deadlines.

    • Developing new features and user interfaces from wireframe models.
    • Dealing with device fragmentation.
    • Working closely with a designer to achieve the best (UX) results.
    • Ensuring the best performance and user experience of the application.
    • During the product development phase, maintain a good balance between business outcomes and user needs.
    • Cooperating with back-end developers, designers, and the rest of the team to deliver well-architected and high-quality solutions


    • You are proficient in Kotlin, Java and Swift.
    • You have extensive knowledge of mobile app development. This includes the whole process, from the first line of code to publishing in the store(s).
    • You are capable of Cross-Platform App Development for the three major mobile platforms: Android, iPhone and Windows Phones. A skilled developer is not only experienced and able to code in one platform but is versatile enough to create apps across any platform for any device.
    • You are proficient in writing automated tests in JUnit, Espresso, Mocha, Jest, Enzyme, XCTest, etc.
    • You are familiar with RESTful APIs and mobile libraries for networking.
    • You have experience with profiling and debugging mobile applications.
    • Strong knowledge of architectural patterns—MVP, MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture—and the ability to choose the best solution for the app.
    • You are familiar with Git and push notifications.
