    Quality Assurance Manager

    Position Purpose

    • The Quality Assurance Manager strengthens organizational quality, compliance, and accountability across Partnership Countries by establishing quality assurance systems, enhancing internal controls, promoting adherence to organizational policies and standards, and supporting effective risk management. The position serves as a strategic partner to Partnership Countries by promoting operational excellence, consistency, and continuous quality improvement throughout the Africa region.

    Key Responsibilities

    Quality Assurance & Operational Standards

    • Develop and maintain regional quality assurance frameworks, standards, and operational guidelines
    • Establish and promote standardized operational practices across Partnership Countries
    • Conduct quality reviews to assess operational effectiveness and compliance with organizational standards
    • Identify quality gaps and recommend practical improvement measures
    • Review and improve operational processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Promote continuous quality improvement across the Africa region

    Internal Control, Compliance & Risk Management

    • Strengthen internal control systems to enhance organizational accountability
    • Monitor compliance with organizational policies, procedures, donor requirements, and applicable regulations
    • Identify, assess, and monitor key operational risks and support the implementation of mitigation measures
    • Review operational documentation and internal control practices to ensure compliance with established standards
    • Support Partnership Countries in implementing corrective and preventive actions
    • Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and ethical practice

    Capacity Development & Advisory Support

    • Provide technical guidance to Partnership Countries on quality assurance, internal control, compliance, and risk management
    • Design and facilitate training related to quality management and operational standards
    • Develop practical tools, guidance materials, and best practice resources
    • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning across the Africa region
    • Strengthen the capacity of Partnership Countries to maintain effective quality assurance systems

    Regional Coordination & Strategic Support

    • Coordinate regional quality assurance initiatives in collaboration with IHQ and Partnership Countries
    • Support the implementation of new organizational policies, systems, and regional initiatives
    • Analyze recurring operational issues and recommend strategic improvements
    • Prepare analytical reports and recommendations to support management decision-making
    • Contribute to strengthening organizational governance, operational excellence, and accountability across the Africa region

    Qualifications & Competencies

    • Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in International Development, Development Studies, Risk Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Project Management, Social Sciences, or another relevant field

    Professional Experience

    • Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in quality assurance, internal control, compliance, operational management, risk management, or organizational development
    • Experience in international NGOs or development organizations
    • Demonstrated experience in developing organizational policies, systems, and operational standards
    • Professional experience in African countries other than the candidate's country of origin is an asset.
    • Experience supporting multi-country operations is preferred.

    Performance Development Manager

    Position Purpose

    • The Performance Development Manager strengthens organizational performance across Partnership Countries by developing regional performance management systems, supporting operational improvement, building organizational capacity, and promoting evidence-based decision-making.
    • The position serves as a strategic partner to Partnership Countries by driving continuous improvement and enhancing organizational effectiveness throughout the Africa region.

    Key Responsibilities

    Performance Management

    • Develop and maintain regional performance management frameworks
    • Establish organizational KPIs and performance indicators
    • Analyze performance trends and prepare management reports
    • Facilitate regional performance review meetings
    • Recommend performance improvement actions

    Performance Improvement & Organizational Development

    • Conduct Partnership Countries performance assessments
    • Develop and monitor Partnership Countries Improvement Plans
    • Identify operational gaps and recommend improvements
    • Support organizational development initiatives
    • Promote continuous improvement across the Africa Region

    Capacity Development & Knowledge Management

    • Identify organizational capacity needs
    • Design and facilitate learning initiatives
    • Develop operational guidance and tools
    • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices

    Strategic Support

    • Provide strategic operational support to Partnership Countries
    • Support regional planning and decision-making
    • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives

    Legal Officer

    Key Responsibilities

    • Work with Human resource Department to coordinate all legal issues for the organization internally and externally.
    • The incumbent will provide counsel to and work closely with human resources on a broad range of employment matters, including recruiting, hiring, benefits, compensation, employee relations, discipline, terminations, investigations, harassment, discrimination, compliance, and strategies for managing risk around employment matters.
    • Work with Human Resource Department to conduct ongoing review and revision of Good Neighbors’ human resources policies.
    • Work with Human Resource Department to prepare employment law training programs for management and other relevant managers when need be.
    • Work with human Resource Department to coordinate and manage external, local and international counsel on personnel and compliance issues.
    • Communication with lawyers and other relevant government officers.
    • Conducts extensive legal research and analysis and prepare studies, comparative studies, briefs, reports and correspondence.
    • Review the contract or relevant documentations
    • Undertakes basic or extensive review of legal documents, instruments, or other material; identifies important issues, similarities, and inconsistencies, etc.
    • Prepares or assists in the preparation of drafts of background papers, studies, reports, legislative texts and commentaries on those texts, etc.
    • Prepares or assists in the preparation, and negotiates or assists in the negotiation, of agreements with stakeholders.
    • Provides guidance to more junior staff.

    Qualifications and skills

    • Degree or Higher diploma in Law.
    • 3+ years working experience as legal Officer
    • Excellent written and verbal communication. 
    • Familiarity with MS office.
    • Knowledge of all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
    • Highly organized and detail oriented
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Ability to prepare complex legal documents.
    • Experience in the NGO Sector preferred.
    • Ability to speak more than one language.
    • A good understanding of the following.
    • Recent versions of Microsoft Office software suites.
    • Standard office equipment, such as copy machines and fax machines.
    • Telecommunications systems.
    • Digital communications systems
