Responsibilities:

• Casualty & Intensive Care Management
• General Medicine Referrals and Opinions
• Experience in 2D Echo and TMT
• Excellence in Clinical Examination especially with reference to Cardiology
• Outstanding PR skills and doctor patient relationship
• Purely evidence-based practice with emphasis on latest guidelines
• Compassionate emergency care following established protocols
• Should be able to handle any medical case with minimal inputs from cross disciplinary advice

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from a recognized University.
• MD - Internal Medicine from an accredited medical University
• Must be have a valid Medical Council Registration Cerificate
• ACLS Certification
• Fellowship in Diabetes or Cardiology will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE

• 3-4 years working experience in a Busy Hospital
• Atleast 3 years of Critical Care Management & Diabetology Treatment
• Good public relations and Communication skills

Optometrist to provide comprehensive primary eye care services including eye examinations, refraction, diagnosis of common eye conditions, and prescription of corrective lenses.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and refraction.
• Diagnose refractive errors and common eye conditions. .
• Prescribe and dispense spectacles, contact lenses, and low vision aids. .
• Detect eye diseases and refer complex cases to ophthalmologists. .
• Counsel patients on eye health and proper eyewear use.
• Maintain patient records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Participate in community outreach programs.
• Adhere to the regulations, guidelines, and standards set by the Kenya Optometric Association & the Kenya Medical Practitioners & Dentists Council

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION 

• Diploma or Degree in Optometry from a recognized institution.
• Valid practicing license from Optometrists Association of Kenya.
• 1-2 years relevant experience (preferred).
• Strong clinical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
