    Electro-Mechanical Technician

    RESPONSIBILTIES

    • Install, calibrate, and maintain electro-mechanical systems, motors, drives, sensors, and control units.
    • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic failures to carry out rapid, targeted repairs.
    • Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
    • Perform preventive maintenance, adjustments, and system upgrades to prevent breakdowns. Configure PLCs, control software, and automation systems.
    • Utilize diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, calipers) to test, calibrate, and verify machine performance.
    • Replace and align mechanical components such as belts, chains, sprockets, gears, and actuators.
    • Maintain accurate documentation for repairs, maintenance logs, and component replacements.
    • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technicians on installations and system integrations.
    • Enforce all safety compliance rules and regulatory standards during technical interventions.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Diploma in Electromechanical Technology, Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Electronics.
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (FMCG preferred).
    • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and mechanical assembly.
    • Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Delta), motor controllers, and sensors. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics. Skilled in using testing equipment and mechanical hand tools.
    • Basic welding ability in stainless steel, mild steel, and cast iron.
    • Strong knowledge of safety procedures and electrical code compliance.

    HR Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Lead HR operations, enforce workplace policies, and ensure strict compliance with Kenyan labor laws, OSHA, and statutory obligations (NSSF, SHIF/NHIF, NITA).
    • Oversee talent acquisition, shift scheduling, and casual labor operations for production personnel, master bakers, drivers, and sales teams.
    • Foster a positive work culture, resolve grievances, handle disciplinary processes, and manage staff welfare.
    • Collaborate with QA/HSE teams to ensure all staff adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP standards, and statutory Food Handler certification requirements.
    • Drive performance management cycles, coordinate NITA-certified training programs, and collaborate with Finance on accurate payroll execution.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (Higher National Diploma in HR is an added advantage).
    • Active IHRM Practicing Certificate (CHRP-K qualification is highly preferred).
    • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within an FMCG, Food Manufacturing, or Commercial Bakery setting.
    • Strong grasp of Kenyan Labor Laws, excellent dispute resolution, fluency in English & Kiswahili, and proficiency in HRIS & automated time- attendance systems.
