    Agency Support Specialist

    The Position: 

    The primary role of the Agency Support Specialists is to lead and coordinate the banks Agency and other emerging channels initiatives. The Specialists must demonstrate a strong understanding of and high regard for the Digital channels – Agency and other emerging channels – as a business delivery channel for the Bank's corporate and retail customers as well as for online merchant services. The position requires someone with experience and expertise in Agency, Mobile and internet based financial systems technologies as well as POS, MPOS, PDQ and USSD connectivity.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support for existing Agency, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Middleware Applications, and support implementation of related projects.
    • Provide first level IT training and support to users in addition to keeping track of user issues and oversee their prompt resolution.
    • Delivering business quality solutions by ensuring that they are well tested and are rolled out in a manner that adheres to established business processes.
    • Work closely with IT Security to ensure that the Agency System are well secured and in implementing SSL and other encryption certificates for ensuring robust and secure Digital Channels services

    DevOps Engineer

    The Position:

    The DevOps Engineer works with application developers to automate and accelerate the testing, release, and deployment of applications into a runtime environment quickly and reliably. The DevOps Engineer will have a background in development, operations, and full-stack implementations. The DevOps engineer acts as a fulcrum between development and operational teams, and basically forms the foundation of the entire DevOps environment. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) strategy that allows the organization to use DevOps at scale.
    • Envision, build, and execute automated testing plans for all the software developed in the organization and provide reporting templates for monitoring testing coverage.
    • Contribute to developing best practices for infrastructure as code (such as Puppet, Shell scripting); software build tools (such as Maven, Gradle, etc.) and continuous integration tools (such as Jenkins, TeamCity, etc.)
    • Mentoring and coaching junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
    • Design, build & maintain infrastructure to support a continuous software development process, including all phases of development, quality assurance and software deployment.
    • Provides direction into standards and procedures for monitoring, capacity planning, tuning, maintenance, performance optimization, backups, and recovery; ensures infrastructure will meet capacity requirements to deliver on time.
    • Setup/Configuration/Administration of code Repositories like Git, SVN
    • Manage Image storage to ensure consistency and recoverability of the same as required.
    • Development of process and procedures of code versions to ensure proper governance and security is always maintained within the enterprise.
    • Acts as a thought leader for DevOps practice in the organization while working with stakeholders to select “fit for purpose tools” to be used in the DevOps orchestration/automation processes.

    The Person:

    For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
    • Certification in cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, OpenShift or related.
    • Use of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible or similar and professional software development using JAVA, Python etc is required.

    Enterprise Solution Engineer

    The Position: 

    The role of Enterprise Solution Engineer is to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of enterprise solutions. The Enterprise Solutions Engineer is responsible for the creation of technically complex multi-component solution designs and partners with Enterprise and Solution Architects to identify and implement solutions that enable business needs. The Enterprise Solution Engineer will lead and influence the project team to ensure the technical success of initiatives, utilizing sound expertise in the evaluation and creation of multiple solution design options, meeting complex requirements and constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop high quality solutions that are scalable, secure, and stable across the enterprise solutions.
    • Work closely with product owners and business analysts and solution architects during requirements engineering phase to understand and document functional and non-functional requirements.
    • Work together with Group Enterprise Architecture teams to analyze product requirements and design best-fit architectures and solutions guided by KCB policies and industry best practices and standards.
    • Identify, champion and implement innovative solutions that exploit existing business opportunities and mitigate existing risks.
    • Accountable for development and timely delivery of quality applications and software solutions from requirements definition, review of solution design (SDD) and interface specification documents (ISD), user test planning and review, defect tracking, and ensuring closure project tasks.
    • Specify and ensure application controls are incorporated during design of the software in order to check on risk exposure.
    • Analyze and fix software applications bugs and defects and contributes towards ensuring high availability, scalability, fault tolerance and resilience of production solutions and applications.
    • Design, develop unit test plans and perform unit and scenario testing for application code bases and interfaces.
    • Work with technology operations and support teams to handover system support skills and documentation and formulate OLA agreements with level 3 support.
    • Work closely with Technology Risk and Security teams to ensure that applications are well secured as per the bank’s Technology Security policies and standards.
    • Understands the necessity of and contributes to establishment of the right programming standards.
    • Provide 3rd level support to the banking operations administrators and support teams and other application support teams in resolving production systems anomalies and refining of system operations.
    • Creates and communicates initial estimates including suggested solution, IS impacts, IS costs for minor, small, and large enterprise projects.
    • Collaborates with vendor partners for integration of partner development activities within project timeline.
    • Performs technical evaluations of new technology products or suggest changes/enhancements to existing products/environments to fulfill business needs.
    • Provides daily support for existing enterprise solutions, including modifying, testing, validating, and documenting system changes. Adheres to normal change control processes for these activities.

    The Person:

    • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
    • A Certification in either, ITIL, Project Management; Temenos T24 or related.

    Cyber Security Specialist (Email & Cloud)

    The Position: 

    The Cyber Security Specialist (Email and Cloud) is responsible for maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the organization’s data while in use, in motion and in situ, through preventing, detecting, and resolving security threats to KCB Group email and cloud infrastructures. The holder is also responsible for the deployment, testing, and maintenance of security solutions for email and cloud infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer, optimize, and support the Bank’s email security solutions, perimeter email security and cloud security solutions in compliance with the Bank’s policies and standards.
    • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Intelligence and Security Operations Centre (CiSOC) in the continuous monitoring and defence of the Bank’s email and cloud infrastructure for cybersecurity threat indicators, assist to detect, report, and respond to email and cloud security violations/incidents.
    • Appropriately and practically defend the Bank’s cloud deployment infrastructure, in accordance with established policies, procedures, guidelines and practices.
    • Develop Email and Cloud Security Policies and Minimum-Security Configuration Baseline Standards in line with industry best practices and technologies commensurate with risk and regulatory requirements and implementing the same cost effectively.
    • Define, create, and deliver compliance reports and relevant metrics in Email and Cloud security to senior management, utilizing automation as deemed fit.
    • Provide technical email and cloud security related support to projects from inception through to successful implementation in a bid to ensure that email security and overall cloud security is built in from project inception.
    • Drive the adoption of cloud security solutions, working collaboratively with other Cyber Security specialists and teams to identify, implement and monitor such security solutions.
    • Conduct continuous audit of email and cloud infrastructure security configuration of all email and cloud infrastructure to provide optimum security, performance, and availability.
    • Provide input into Cyber Security risk and control self-assessments by leveraging specialized knowledge in email and cloud security.
    • Research on and provide technical email and cloud security expertise in the Group Cyber Security department.

    The Position: 

    This role of the Business Process Analyst is responsible for process mapping, identifying and discussing key business areas and processes that require improvement. The role holder is responsible for organizing stakeholder process engagements, analyzing existing processes, interviewing staff, gathering data, and assessing the business model to ensure the processes documented are effective and efficient.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Wellness Manager

    The Position: 

    Reporting to the Senior Manager, Wellness & Employee Experience. This position is responsible for the management of the Staff Medical Scheme in liaison and partnership with the KCB Insurance Agency, implementation of the Staff Wellness Programs and Employee Assistance Programs.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Formulate input to the Staff Wellness Strategy relating to own HR Area.
    • Manage and coordinate the annual review of Schemes, Programs, Initiatives and Benefits relating to Staff Wellness Programs and implement / coordinate approved outcomes within policy and approval mandates.

    Employee Relations & Wellness Analyst

    The Position: 

    Reporting to the Head, Employee Relations & Wellness, this position is responsible for providing all administrative support for the department as well as to collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to the key performance indicators of the department.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform general office duties; maintaining data, files and records
    • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and data quality.
    • Analyse data and use to create insightful reports identifying process improvement opportunities and track key performance indicators of the department.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or Business-related field
    • Professional qualifications in HRM will be an added advantage
    • At least 3 years’ experience in Human Resource Administration, including experience in data analysis and stakeholder management.
    • Knowledgeable in Labour & Employment laws as well as HR regulatory guidelines.
    • Must have a high proficiency in HR data and records management, with high attention to detail
