    Healthcare Partnerships & Service Integration

    ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE

    At Zipline your work is intended for the field, customers are counting on it today,  so there is no time for ambiguous communication or going slow. The team you'd be working with is a small and mighty group of individuals from around the world, all trying to build a nationally-integrated drone delivery service of medical products for healthcare providers and patients in Kenya. This role will require you to go above and beyond the job description and build a scalable foundation for customer success  in Kenya.

    For this role, we require candidates to relocate to Kisumu, or expect to travel at least 70% of the time.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Client Success -- understanding the client needs and translate them into a strategy with concrete goals and measurable KPIs for achieve client success
    • Systems Integration Strategy -- owning strategy for how we integrate into the supply chain for maximizing impact and problem solving issues to ensure we best serve our customers and community 
    • Program Implementation - Partner with stakeholders in our development partner organizations to ensure programs are being implemented effectively & everyone is in the loop.
    • Client, Partner & Stakeholder Relationships -- build and maintain high trust relationships with client stakeholders across government sector, non-profit/foundations, and private sector 
    • Creating and owning all formal communications of program progress and impact to our Clients and key stakeholders 

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING 

    • Experience navigating stakeholders in Kenya and engaging several groups with varying levels of pharmaceutical knowledge.
    • Experience implementing technical and complex projects with public and private stakeholders in the healthcare sector in Kenya.
    • Experience working with donor organizations, NGOs, and other local implementing partners.
    • Global knowledge of rules, regulations and standard practices surrounding medical/pharmacy practices, pharmaceutical supply chain, and patient safety.
    • Deep and practical knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chains in Kenya.
    • Ability to think and communicate with a systems perspective.
    • Strong visual, written & verbal communications skills with experience working on proposals, reports, and presentations.
    • Ability to turn data points into compelling user insights and stories that you communicate in a simple and effective way to stakeholders.
    • Ability to translate abstract client or stakeholder needs into tangible goals that Zipline's operations team can deliver on 
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and are able to fully own the projects you are working on and create strategic vision. 
    • A high aptitude for learning/growing technical skills.

    Radio Operator

    What You'll Do 

    As a VHF- Radio Operator, your responsibilities will include;

    •  Communications: Operate our VHF-Radio Equipment to establish and maintain communications with other air space users.
    •  Monitoring: Continuously monitor VHF Radio Frequencies for incoming transmissions, advisories, and restrictions and stay alert to ensure that important messages are not missed.
    •  Record Keeping: Accurately record and log all incoming and outgoing transmissions including the time, call signs (if available), and content for each message. Maintain organized records for reference and future analysis.
    •  Compliance with regulations: Adhere to applicable rules and regulations related to VHF radio communications. Maintain an understanding of relevant regulations to ensure legal and ethical communication practices.
    •  Equipment maintenance: Regularly inspect, test, and maintain our VHF radio equipment to ensure its proper functioning. Report any faults or issues to the flight operations lead.
    •  Team coordination: Collaborate with other operators to ensure efficient and coordinated communication. Maintain effective communication skills to facilitate teamwork.

    What You'll Bring  

    •  Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Aerospace Engineering
    •  A certificate in radio telephony from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority
    •  An English proficiency certificate from the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority
    •  You enjoy working in the field and are not afraid to get your hands dirty
    •  Ability to stay focused, humble, and safety-conscious during 12 hour shifts
    •  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy work that keeps you on your feet
    •  Ability to comply with regulations
    •  Extremely process & detail-oriented
    •  Must be eligible to work in Kenya

    WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW  

    •  Must be willing and able to work night/weekends on shifts
    •  Must be willing and able to work for a period not more than 45 hours/week
    •  This is a full-time position based in Chemelil and will require relocation to Kisumu/Kisumu environs
    •  Must be willing to relocate to any of our distribution centers in Kenya
