    Relationship Manager - Oil & Gas Sector

    Job Purpose: 

    Reporting to the HEAD OF OIL & GAS the successful candidate will be responsible for: -

    • Prospecting for new Oil & Gas Clients, including their Ecosystems
    • Developing and implementing business growth strategies for Oil & Gas for the bank
    • Active management of existing clients including increasing wallet share in NFI, Assets & liabilities
    • Participating in presentations to clients and marketing drives and other relationship management activities
    • Managing an active portfolio of Oil & Gas Clients in an active ecosystem
    • Customers service management as part of relationship building
    • Promoting the Oil & Gas Ecosystem and working with regions to recruit sub anchors  

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    • 360 degree understanding of Oil & Gas clients financial needs and all bank products and services
    • Regular client visits/presentations and meetings with visit reports
    • High level negotiation to get new and additional business
    • preparation of various reports including customized client proposals according to client need
    • Coordination with various departments like credit, treasury , trade finance, GOCAC etc. for delivery of seamless service to client
    • Competitor and Industry analysis - Actively review and monitor competitor product offerings and monitor industry trends

    Qualifications and Experience: 

    • Seasoned banker with proven networks among Corporate,  SME Preferably not less than 7 years in the bank. Previous experience as an RM an added advantage
    • An under-graduated degree from a well-recognized university with bias to a business-related field or marketing

    Key Skills and Competencies:

    • Passionate, highly self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic team player who is change oriented and customer focused
    • Demonstrate an ability to build and manage relationships and influence various stakeholders to deliver business in the Oil & Gas sector
    • High networking skills with high level understanding of the financial sector needs for the different sectors of the economy
    • Results oriented and an excellent communicator both orally and in writing
    • Clear understanding and articulation of the Oil & Gas entire ecosystem and the market players
    • Clear understanding of Oil & Gas products and services

    Group Head of Regulatory Compliance

    Role Purpose

    • The Head of Regulatory Compliance shall support the Group Head, Compliance, Financial Crime and Conduct (CFCC) by working with other Risk and the Business leaders to manage the strategy and execution of the Group’s Compliance risk framework. The role supports the effective management of regulatory Compliance related risks in the Group and provides pro-active, accurate and timely advice to enable all subsidiaries operate in accordance with regulatory requirements, global best practice and applicable Group standards. The role requires good knowledge of Compliance risk frameworks, the potential sources of compliance risk and collaboration with other leaders in the first and second lines of defense to identify, assess, monitor and address such activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the Group Head, CFCC to implement and maintain an effective Group Compliance risk framework and provide strategic direction in how they are managed.
    • Collaborate with the other stakeholders to identify, control and assess compliance risk in the Group.
    • Deliver regulatory advice to stakeholders and manage second line processes to ensure privacy & law enforcement, regulatory conduct & reporting, new business & new products, customer complaints, consumer protection, customer conduct, product, product quality, data quality, data privacy compliance on an ongoing basis in all business activities and in line with Group risk appetite.
    • Drive effectiveness of the Group Compliance Risk Framework by incorporating effective and practical advice into sound early-stage second line challenge.
    • Support the rollout and implementation of effective Compliance training across the Group.
    • Assist with the Group’s approach, including an effective Group Obligations register, for the timely identification of opportunities to enhance management and oversight of Compliance risk, and ensure appropriate action is taken by relevant parties to deliver improvements.
    • Work with relevant stakeholders in the Group to ensure that the required controls to mitigate compliance risk are embedded into new products and initiatives.
    • Support the Group Head, CFCC in the development and implementation of the Group Government & Regulatory Relationship Program.
    • Implement a process that identifies and manages potential Compliance risk from regulatory and geopolitical changes and provides assurance that changes have been effectively embedded into the relevant Compliance business processes.
    • Broaden internal and external networks and keep up to date with regulatory requirements and industry best practice to continuously improve the effectiveness of Group compliance risk management.
    • Develop compliance testing plans to test that sound compliance programs are in place and effective.
    • Evaluate effectiveness of available metrics and enhance or design new metrics to identify trends, patterns, or potential areas of concern.

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements

    • Requires 12+ years of professional experience and 5+ years of management experience.

    Academic Qualification and Certifications

    • Degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
    • Professional Certification such as CAMS, ICA

    Customer Experience (CX) Communications Manager

    The Role Purpose

    • Responsible for creating, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies to ensure effective and consistent messaging both internally and externally. The role is essential in maintaining a positive image of the bank, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, and effectively conveying the bank's mission, values, and achievements. This position reports to the Head of CX Business Partnering.

    The Key Responsibilities

    • Customer Engagement Initiative: Lead initiatives to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction through personalized communication approaches. This includes implementing feedback mechanisms to gather insights and measure customer sentiment as well as designing and executing campaigns that foster customer advocacy.
    • Developing Communication Strategies: Creating comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the organization's CX objectives and overall business goals.
    • Ensure Message Consistency: Standardize all customer communication to ensure the tone, message and brand standards are consistent.
    • Crafting Content: Liaise with Communication Agencies to produce high-quality written and visual content for various communication channels, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, reports, and presentations.
    • Internal Communications: Facilitate effective communication within the organization, ensuring that employees are well-informed about important updates, initiatives, and developments. This may involve creating internal newsletters or using communication tools and platforms.
    • Brand Management: Ensure that all communication materials and messages align with brand guidelines and maintain consistency in branding across different platforms.
    • Monitoring and Analysis: Track the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns, using metrics and analytics to measure success and make data-driven improvements.
    • Stakeholder Engagement: Identify key stakeholders and develop tailored communication approaches to engage and maintain positive relationships with them.
    • Event Management: Support the planning and execution of communication-related events, such as product launches, press conferences, trade shows, and corporate gatherings.
    • Media Monitoring: Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant news to identify opportunities and potential risks for the organization.
    • Budget Management: Tracking the communication budget spend and preparing ROI reports.

    Key Technical Skills & leadership competencies

    • Conceptual and Analytical Skills: Ability to quickly grasp and understand communication briefs and keen to detail
    • Technology Skills: Knowledge of Media Monitoring tools
    • Business Process Management: Knowledge of banking products and services

     Experience Requirements  

    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in communications, service design, or related roles within banking/finance.
    • A track record of developing & implementing communication and media campaigns

     Academic Qualifications and Certifications 

    • Bachelor's degree in a communication-related field.
    • A strong understanding of communication principles.
    • Knowledgeable about communication, advertising and brand marketing.
    • Demonstrated ability to design and deploy communication content, campaigns and media monitoring.
    • Must be a Member of Public Relations Society of Kenya
