Key duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for organization, planning and management of catering and production services.
• Supervise and allocate work to staff in the catering service department throughMpreparation of duty rosters.
• Prepare a procurement plan of kitchen items and submit it to the approval and purchase.
• Supervising cleanliness of catering facilities.
• Develop menu and create recipe for different meals in liaison with the head cook.
• Ensure production and serving of quality food as scheduled in the institution.
• Direct the daily operations of the food and catering service staff through coordination and training to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Keep and maintain catering service inventory and ensure timely replenishment to avoid delays in provision of meals and refreshments.
• Responsible for preparation of regular medical checkup plan for kitchen staff
• Ensure that food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils are clean.
• Ensure meals served to students and staff are of good quality and quantity.
• Inspect food and other material received at the kitchen to ensure they are of right quality and quantity.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Beverage, Hotel and Hospitality Management, or Hotel and Catering Management from a recognized Institution.
• Thorough knowledge of culinary arts including cooking, baking, salad preparation and food presentation.
• Been conversant with different methods of food storage and preservation.
• Certificate in computer application skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge, integrity and skills in Institutional food preparation.
• Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Capture institution’s data on income receipts to ensure information on income is accurately captured, complete and current to facilitate the preparation of accurate financial statements.
• Capture expenses on various accounts to ensure the information is readily available for the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare journal vouchers in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations.
• Ensure safe custody of records and assets under him/her.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

• Part | of Certified Public Accountant (CPA I) OR Diploma in Accounts or equivalentMqualification from a recognized institution.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting standards;

Academic and Professional Requirements

• Must have graduated from University, College or TVET in possession of a Degree,
